Marriage Rates are down in the United States because of lack of "economically attractive men" who have steady jobs for single women to meet according to a study!!

Researchers found data of marriages between 2007-2012 and 2013-2017 and concluded that there are fewer men with stable jobs and a good income available for unmarried women!!...

Cornell University examined characteristics of unmarried women's perfect or "synthetic" spouses which were comparable ot real life husbands of married women

Authors found that the "dream" husband had an average income that was 58% higher than unmarried an.

Women's perfect husbands were also 30% more likely to be employed and 19% more likely to have a college degree than average single american man under the study "Do Unmarried Women Face Shortages of Partners in the US Marriage Market?"

Now women are settling for a match that falls SHORT of their aspirations and may even struggle to marry if they are either a low or high socioeconomic status

It also found that women faced serious shortages of potential black or minority marital partners

The study shows that the mass incarceration of black men has depletedthe pool of unmarried men in inner city urban neighborhoods that has greatly reduced prosect of marriage for black women

Black Men are roughly 7 times more likely than white man to be incarcerated

Race remains a significant demo dimension of national and local marriage market mismatches, especially education and income constraints are amplified within many low income and segregated minority populations

Daniel T. Lichter said in conclusion, most american women hope to marry but the shortage of marriageable men with a good job are hard to come by nowadays, especially in this economy.

Marriage is still based on love but so is economic transaction and many young men have little to bring to the marriage bargain especially as young women's educational levels now EXCEED male's

Women are now bringing home the bacon and sharing the work load and finding economically attractive men who have the same ambition as them is now difficult to find one who makes more than 40,000 a year

American men are also becoming less economically ambitious and would rather steady low income jobs rather than wanting more as many of these women are just "settling" with a man earning LESS than them

This comes as the rising education and growing financial independence of women who would rather be single than find a partner

Average income of married men is 70,000 compared to 35,000 of an unmarried man.

Do you agree that the pool of financially successful attractive men is hard to find nowadays?

Damn, and we didn't even know his name

Marriage is still based on love but so is economic transaction

This is probably my favourite sentence here. Economic transaction is also based on love...

You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.
