Basically it's a bunch of people who believe absolutely nothing good will ever happen in society and it's better to practice nothing but Apathy and Nihilism so you won't be destroyed mentally over the flaws of society and those who participate in it.

I question why they haven't ended it all. If this was all truly as nihilistic as they supposedly believe, they would take actions consistent with that conviction and peace out.
