Also when I unplug anything for a few seconds and plug it back in the device will work for a few seconds and power off after a few min. Tried same devices on different outlets not wired in series and they had no issues. Faulty outlet or bad wiring thats about to burn my house down?

The inconsistency is concerning, i'd turn off the breaker to that outlet and call a professional. Better safe than sorry.

I would err on the side of caution and temporarily isolate that circuit via the breakers as this sounds like it could legit be a short somewhere cause by a cracked/frayed wire and that can cause fires. Get it checked out by a pro.

I know Lowe's has a thing that you can use to test the power output of an outlet, but tbh I'd say don't use that one and if you live in an apartment or other rented property, have a maintenance request put in.
If you own it, then find an electrician. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

id replace the wiring and outlet myself because the breaker is a room away but im renting. its just a pain in the ass because I will have to wait several days for the rental company to acknowledge my work order and ill have to move my desk and pc away from the outlet so they can fix it
