There are some occasions where the fact that it is for kids kinda holds it back, like if the good guys just straight up murdered folks they'd have a much easier time lol. Overall the show is great, as others have said it is a kid's show, but it's a kid's show that still great as an adult. The begining is the worst part, the first 10, or so episodes are kinda eh, whatever, but it builds up from then until the third season. The third season is still pretty good but not quite as good as season 2. Fantastic pacing, great action, great world-building, great characterization/development. About the only things holding it back are a handful of subpar episodes and that it has to censor itself because its a nickelodeon show, and those are pretty minor flaws imo. I'd love to see the version of avatar where it wasn't aiming for a kids audience. Korra's not as good imo.
