Some advice is usually use the lowest setting of temperature.
Personally, I'd say take the least amount of hits possible. Vape will really increase your tolerance.
I say, enjoy the product as naturally as possible.

I googled the vape pen I have and it has basic instructions like pressing the button 5 times to turn on/off things like that.

First off I would tell you to return it and get something better and safer. Vape pens are poorly constructed compared to real vaping devices like regulated mods. Not to mention most vape pens are made by one of the Big Tobacco companies so who knows what shit they are putting in their fluid. Pods are disposable contributing to more landfills and littering. All in all the worst choice for vaping.

The ones that explode are the unregulated mods and anyone using one is just another Darwin statistic as far as I'm concerned. Unregulated means there's no computer chip controlling the functions, like auto shut off after 10 secs, short circuit protection, etc.

As for your questions
1) No No NO

2) As far as I know there are no temperature adjustments on pen types

3) You basically use it as you would smoke a cigarette.

Lastly can you tell me the brand and model of your device and even though I'd rather you not use it, I will try to help you if you still want to use it.

I've never owned a vaping pen before, but I don't think I've ever seen one with temperature settings. Usually the coils will have ohms/wattage info printed right onto them. Not a fan of vape pens, the hits feel really weak.

My pen has 4 voltage settings. I've also seen large nicotine vapes with digital readouts and very adjustable voltage settings.

He's using a THC vape cartridge, guys, you should be able to tell by the fact he's using a "pen" and a "cartridge". Just hope you got your cartridge from a reliable source, all the health issues reported in the media relating to vaping is caused by black market cartridges cut with stuff like vitamin e.
I second taking minimal hits, your tolerance will skyrocket from a concentrate like that.

Not necessarily, most of the vape pens are just normal vape fluid. The only THC laced ones, sometimes with vitamin E, are the black market ones you mentioned. No reputable vape shop and no convenience store sells that shit. And it is that very shit that's killing people, not real vape equipment or fluids.

I've been vaping for like 4 years now with out a single issue with any of my mods or health problems.

Buy a small mod like a GEEK VAPE AEGIS Mini. The coils don't cost much and buy your juice from a shop that makes it in house. It has a build in battery so that's convenient.

Nah, I think it's actually worse because people think it's better than smoking.

I also think it's worse because children are hiding these in their sleeves and vaping in school.

I read on the internet that vaping causes cervical cancer in men.

I keep mine usually at 2 V, turn it up to 2.5 when it gets low.
Do NOT charge it overnight, it should be on the charger for 3 hours max
Do NOT over tighten the cartridge or the charger, these things are flimsier than they look

Luckily I go to reputable dispensaries, but a lot did send mail that their carts are only high quality.

Again though, the plant is just so much better. Very affordable, too.

It's definitely better than smoking, but only because everything short of stabbing yourself in the lungs is better than smoking. It's not nearly as harmless as people like to think, though, which is a problem.

Iirc, a lot will display those changing colors when it is heating up.
Hits will come out of nowhere. You won't feel it, then your throat will be hot and you'll probably exhale more than you think.

The empty pods can be bought in bulk from China and filled with any poison a drug dealer wants, that's where it's coming from. Any of these people that claim otherwise are lying to protect themselves from prosecution or ridicule.

I was doing fast but I did it slower now.

I think you're right about the changing colors.

I took a few hits. Only the last one felt right.

Depends on the coil it uses. Normally the temp is written on the coil and you vape at those or between those temps depending your preference.

As many as you like. It also depends if it's a sub-ohm device or not as to how deep you inhale and exhale.

You do hold the button when taking a hit and you'll hear the coil too. Maybe the battery was dead and needs a charge? Although I guess it would help know what pen you actually have.

iCare Minis were my preference to get my nic fix and helped me quit smoking as that had a tight draw. I now use my other Sub-Ohm device as a power bank.

I've found all the pens I tried were weak hits, low battery life and can't hold much juice. But who knows they might be better today as it's always improving.

Not weak, good battery life(rechargeable), holds 1g oil cartridges, and similar size of a bic lighter.

wwinterj25 my 510 battery doesn't seem to be working anymore, it still lights up and I get vapor if I crank the heat up, but it doesn't feel like I'm getting anything. If I move the cart to my other 510 battery it's fine so I think it's an issue with the battery itself, but should I need to replace it after a month?

My battery has lasted over a year in my ARGIS Mini but it's starting to get a little weak now. Battery should last over a year.

No. If you need to do this then the battery is faulty. This is a frequent problem in fake, cheap pens. I'd stop using something like that as it could lead to something much worse.

I have a medical card and bought it right from the dispensary, but it was only $10 so I didn't expect much, but come on, give me a couple months at least, I only started using carts in October.
