^I didn't watch the video right away because I figured it would be the usual Phil stuff, but this is beyond that. He's so incredibly bitter and jealous and greedy. This is a chill stream, him complaining about low contributions, subtly encouraging his fans to go after Tevin, and trying desperately to justify the last eleven years of his life. Delusional is putting it lightly. If Phil wasn't such an awful person, watching a video like this would make me feel legitimately sorry for him, and not in the way he wants people to feel sorry for him.

Tips total is only $2? *sigh* It's another "slow" stream. Let's downplay the cheers and subs, which add up to more money (even if he doesn't get it immediately), and focus on the tips. Let's also conveniently fail to mention that there are plenty of streams in which the tips goal is met or even exceeded. No, it's a slow stream, but maybe if he mentions that a few times, people will step up and donate.

I agree with this. And it's not just offensive words, the search engine just isn't that good. It can pick up clear as day words just fine, but it incorrectly picks up a lot of words as well

The only impressive things about his legacy are the sheer volume of uploads and the fact that he has managed to keep going, whereas most people in his circumstances would have failed or given up a long time ago. I suppose an HR department could look at that and think, "Wow, this guy took a very limited amount of talent and turned it into a lengthy career. Most people could not have done that."

At least his "incident" was an honest mistake that likely wouldn't impact his ability to do a job properly. If I was an employer, I'd be more concerned about the regular videos on his channel. Here is a guy who can barely go five seconds without saying the f-word, goes on frequent insult-laden rants against his critics, and spends an inordinate amount of time complaining about his financial situation. Even taking into account that Phil would probably behave a little more appropriately in real life, he's still not the kind of person you'd want representing a company to customers.

Phil has been clowning it up hard in CoD. And to be honest, it is fun as fuck to pick him and his excuses apart.

As always, the game sucks. But Phil never considers himself to be the issue, If every fucking game under the sun is "bad", then maybe, just maaaaaybe, the game isn't the problem. This is why I can't believe Phil is faking it. He truly never takes responsibility once for his own fuck ups, not just games. It is never his fault. For someone who loves saying they have "matured" and are a "mature adult" he never does the mature thing.

Acks the King was boring mostly, but also really REALLY baffling.

Phil once again felt the need to lash out to his "detractors". He is so incredibly self centered, so convinced that the entire fucking universe revolves around him, that he believes that his detractors only exist because he exists.

He also felt the need to shit over charities. He will not do one because it will get shit over. Oh, he also shat all over the Icebucket challenge, saying that people only did it to get attention. Totally glossing over the fact that it made over 115 million dollars for a (then) unknown disease.

He was sidestepping playing certain fighting games hard. They are only for "pattern players" (which is ironic, because Phil only learns one combo and repeats this over and over), and don't have "fundamentals" like footsies and stuff. He just wants to stroke his ego over SF2, but ignores a game like Samurai Showdown completely, though this game is EXACTLY what he would want to play given his "complaints" about modern fighters. This game IS about things like footsies. It isn't about flashy combos, but about well timed attacks/counter attacks chunking away at your opponent, but Phil says this game has gore as a gimmick and that's it. He goes out of his way to dis other games that aren't SF2, since that is the game that got him noticed.

But to me, the best part about Acks the King, was his rant about COPPA. I love it when Phil goes on a tangent about shit he knows fuck all about. See, Phil is upset about COPPA because it shows "illegal" ads to children of 13 years or younger. But that is not what COPPA is about at all. It's illegal to COLLECT data of children of 13 years or younger for targeted ads and stuff.

Phil is also already laying the groundwork for a new tax saga.

Someone also asked Phil could name 2 ways he could improve himself. Phil responded by saying that it not was for him to say, but for his audience. Apparently the idea of self-reflection is alien to our hero.

He also talked about being depressed and how it "comes and goes" and that he needs to have thick skin as that it doesn't affect his streams. (This one got me a little bit... I admit, fucker doesn't know what actual depression is. Him being unhappy about his life is totally believable, but depressed? Fuck that noise).

He also said that he doesn't get mad at games, saying that the games suck. Apparently his short term memory is shot, because I remember his previous CoD stream and it was full on salt/clown mode bitching at everything that went wrong proclaiming that the game sucks.

Once again mentioned that he couldn't disclose getting married because of his family's safety. Huge "press X to doubt" there. Phil hasn't even been swatted once. And before you start, a swatting is where police forcibly enter your house, guns at the ready. Phil had 2 cops outside his house asking him to leave.

Him describing what he does on his day off was painful. He once again acts like the most simple of human things are tremendous obstacles that need to be overcome and take an entire fucking day to do.

And one of the things that had me laughing out loud (and shows that self awareness is something that doesn't exists in the world of Phil). Phil sad that it was sad that in this day and age, people are constantly poking around on their phones, and it being their only connection to other people. This from the man who only leaves his house 52 times a year, who has burned every bridge with every friend and family member he ever had.

He also answered a question about "giving" back, but Phil turned this around about other people being selfish making a big deal about giving to charities.

Phil apparently has no backup plan for Youtube, should that go south. Completely ignored Patreon once again. Why people pledge to him at this point, is beyond me.

Oh sweet naive child. You honestly thought that watching Phil could give you enjoyment?

If Phil has proven anything throughout the years, is that he doesn't have a single creative bone in his body. Any game that requires him to keep the conversation going or tries to get you to get creative (MineCraft is a prime example of this), he just builds something extremely basic.

When you look at Minecraft, whenever Phil builds something. it usually looks square as fuck, and at best only contains the bare minimum he needs to advance what he is doing. He doesn't get creative or fancy with the way a house looks, decorations or anything beyond the basics.

Which ironically is a fantastic metaphor for both his stream and his life. Game needs an update? Lets just download it during the stream, rather than do it an advance. Reading into your material? Nope, better stall the stream waiting to get the answer for your viewers.

Creative/critical thinking to solve a challenge? Better bullrush it till you get it. A situation requires a different approach? Bitch and moan, don't adjust your play style and call the devs incompetent.

A player sees through my pattern and I need to adjust? Scream and throw insults at the other player, calling them a pattern player (oh the irony) and call modern fighting games stupid and once again blame the devs.

And what is more telling. During some playthroughs his Playstation crapped out, and he was fucking around with the sound for like 20-30 minutes. HE STILL UPLOADED IT. He literally wants money for not engaging with his audience, he wants his Youtube viewers to watch him fucking around with he cables and settings and expects normal viewership.

He makes no effort for his audience to engage them, doesn't bother playing with them unless there is money to be made. He doesn't do research, doesn't do prep work, doesn't adapt. In any and all fighting games he finds characters that are fairly easy to play, learns one basic combo and that is it. When an opponent mixes things up, he is at a loss, and that is when the rage starts.

Another great example is Death Stranding. The game features extensive cutscenes (during which he never shuts his fucking face and usually ruins any tension/emotion with dumbfuck remarks), but outside of that, it's basically his character traversing from A to B. Phil's comments during the game usually consist of: "Did you see that thing?" "WOW that thing happened!" ad naseum. And when his chat dies down, he then blames his chat for not "interacting" with him.

It's like a stand up comedian asking his audience to tell his jokes for him, then getting upset that they don't laugh at it.

Phil goes out of his way to be lazy, it's almost impressive.

The laziness even extends to his stream setups, too. If someone becomes the top donator, he stops the gameplay and stream to manually update the tracker. Instead, he could probably spend an extra 15-20 minutes outside of the stream to set up an automatic tracker. I'm guessing his reasoning for this is probably something like "but I could get a virus or something, dood!"
