This is what I was thinking. Saying I have faith in the system, that there would have to be enough evidence to prove their guilt for it to get to this point anyway.

How much does it pay if I get stuck with it? That's my main concern. A day or two wouldn't be a big deal, but if it's like weeks or longer it could be a problem.

That depends on the jurisdiction. The court should be able to tell you if you call them and ask.

Most trials finish within a day, and very few go longer than two. I say that, but the trial I was a juror for two years ago dragged on for six days: that does happen sometimes. Still, it's quite rare.
