Sadly, but with confidence and humility, with allegiance to our founders and a heart full of love for America, today I am asking our chairmen to proceed with articles of impeachment, Pelosi said. Show some vigor and passion! Not this "oh I'm sorry, but I have to impeach Trump" bullshit. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Nobody should want to be put in a position where they're trying to impeach a president. It means the country is under criminal (or, as Trump's supporters have argued, incompetent) leadership. That's bad for everyone.

Sadness and disappointment are the right sentiment. Trump is first and foremost a national tragedy, a monumental failure of the system.

I feel like it's more they don't know how to play the game with the existing rules. Why would Hillary bother campaigning anywhere that isn't a swing state? Why would Hillary bother campaigning anywhere that isn't a swing state? Like what were they trying to do? Eh... I gotta say, the last election was an anomaly for Democrats. I know Hilary didn't campaign here (Michigan) and we're a swing state. If I had to speculate why, I'd say it's because I didn't know a single Democrat that wanted her as the candidate. Even my mostly-conservative redneck relatives didn't want Trump, but they sure as fuck weren't going to vote for Clinton. I suspect her campaign knew how low her support was here and in Wisconsin and just wrote us off. --- "Can't wait to count out your coin!" -- Bethesda, 2018 ... Copied to Clipboard!

That doesn't make sense to do though. She was campaigning in pure red states she had no chance in. It felt like she was trying to win the popular vote and not the election.

Yeah, I'm not saying it was a good plan. Should probably just stop speculating-- I was a decent enough political prognosticator until 2016. Even the whole shitshow with the GOP in 2010 wasn't too hard to wrap your head around, but... now? The kind of support Trump is drawing from people he's buttfucking the hardest economically? Dems throwing 14 candidates at the election and none of them is a completely good idea?
