It's true that the thing would run for like ten minutes on six AAs but it did have a backlight. BTW I'm convinced they just made enough game to last until the batteries ran out and then just stopped. No ending, no level 6, they just stopped. It's probably also why they never bothered to make the hang glider work. There's also new IPS screens out there people use now.
