Reich got ownership of the site and brand but he has no money, so though he's going to continue he can't keep things operating the way they were. What an end of an era. I don't love everything CH does or maybe even most of it, but they've definitely made some really phenomenal things and have been chugging along basically as long as I've been on the internet. I recently checked out the channel after kind of falling off of them for a long time and did a deep dive on a ton of their videos over the past few years., and I have to say their recent content sucks. The cast, except for one top tier super star, is just all around pretty bad. So I guess shutting down at this point isn't too much of a surprise. Their stuff was hit or miss but when it was good it was really good, and I'd really grown to enjoy the cast. They still show up regularly on my YouTube feed (I especially enjoy Breaking News and some of their sketches), so the news that it's now basically gone overnight is crazy. Reich still keeping the rights to the shows is a silver lining though. Hopefully he can bring them back with some support and realignments. --- Into the woods, but mind the past...
