Ulysses is an awful book. I stopped reading about 200 pages in when the main character was taking a dump and hoping his hemmorhoids wouldn't flare up.

I once had someone reeeeeeeeing at me for something or other on here, and he tried to go and stop me by saying that he was a better writer than me, because he read Ulysses and included that novels idioms or something in his published work, or, like, he was inspired by it. Idk, he was barely speaking English, but he definitely made it seem like it was the greatest work of fiction of all time. He sounded like a college student who decided on his job path because his English 12 teacher in high school tell him his papers were better than all the other kids in his basic English 12 class.

Anyway, it was at that moment that I decided to never get past the 20th page of the book. Out of spite.
