I don't know. It's just weird looking at the phone and acting as if I'm looking at the person. I find it very uncomfortable and I end up just looking at the side or something

I barely like talking on the phone as is. With video calling it's even worse. But maybe that's just me, I prefer actual face-to-face convos and such.

i never use it unless someone has somethi g to show me other than their face...

i wouldnt call it awkward, just unnecessary.

It's just that while talking to them I'm keeping busy somewhat. Talking on the phone is different because you can avert your attention while keeping the convo going.

My sisters and I video chat but we make sure everyone is free to chat. No husband and no wives are the rules we made up.

I think part of it is also how physically close it seems. It feels like I'm right in front of them, rather than a reasonable distance away.

Ya, that's true as well. With video chat you're kinda tied down.

It's weird though because my parents for example like video calling. I'm too old for it, but too young for it as well.
