It was free awhile ago, but I didn't get it (think it was on epic games for free, not sure).
Not my type of game and I have too many already I won't get around to playing. Yeah, they run on the same engine so the gameplay is pretty much the same. It's just a different fictional universe than SOMA. Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is the only game by Frictional that was developed by a different company and it gutted a lot of the puzzle solving that was great in The Dark Descent, but it has a much darker story and better narration.
