Dropped from 8k to 7.5, then back up to 7.8k.

Had some frustrating phone games where I ran into time out situations. Particularly frustrating was when it happened during a shudderwock game where I had a golden Kadgar and I was making two golden units with every token unit, but the phone animations ruined me.

Yeah Odd Demon Hunter is apparently where it's at, you get 1 mana +2 attack. And that is a problem, I thought the class would be DoA in Wild because it doesn't have years worth of cards. Lucky for it, Baku is OP.

Fun fact though, I watched my friend play it and there's a bug(?) with Eye Beam. Even though it's odd, if you get it in your opening hand with the Outcast condition active that reduces its cost to 0, you don't get the Baku upgrade. Balanced!

The quest today to play three games as Demon Hunter is rough, across the three regions I literally played nine mirrors. Outside of NA I just punched minions until I was below 15 and conceded.

That's exactly what I did. Told Hearthstone to shove 30 cards in a Demon Hunter deck, went to casual, and just mashed the end turn button until I heard a death.

Man, I started going through all the adventures to see if there was a single boss that plain old Odd Demon Hunter couldn't beat without any tweaks. I didn't even look up a deck list, I'm just using what I cobbled together that seemed good, then threw one Gluttonous Ooze in there because I remember some bosses have weapons.

I wonder if I'll have enough time before everything in the deck is torched. I made it all the way through Naxxramas with two bosses I had to retry once apiece (Gluth and the deal 1 damage to all minions and make slimes guy, don't remember his name) and now I'm 1/4 of the way through Blackrock.

I just had the most absurd A.F.Kay game.

Turn 3 (5 mana) I took Imp Gang Boss and Shifter Zerus

There were no tokens in the window (I went 0/3 on token windows) so I levelled, played the imp gang boss and prayed.
Fortunately in this round my opponent power leveled to 3 so he only had 1 minion on board so my imp gang boss took the win.

Turn 4? Shifter Zerus becomes Voidlord. I spend 6/6 gold levelling to 3.

Next turn I level to 4.

The following turn I level to 5.

On my 9 gold turn I am level 5 and I still have 35 hp because my voidlord carried every fight. I think it helped that I instantly levelled which gave my opponents the confidence to level rather than getting their board ready to take on the void daddy.
But anyways on this 9 gold turn I buy 3 cards because I know i need to fill my board. I don't remember what they were exactly. It was just a decent 4star and 3star minion that got played to the board...and another shifter zerus.

On my 10 gold turn shifter zerus becomes Mama Bear. I have Goldrinn, Rat Pack, Rat Pack and Houndmaster in my window. The beast transition begins!

On turn 9 (what would be the 11 gold turn) I level to 6 and continue to take no damage because I have a strong beast core.

I spend a couple turns buying beasts. I also buy 2 Kalecgos. Initially it was just to take them out of the pool so my beasts would be uncontested. But then I get a window that is just perfect so I transition into double kalecgos dragons. I go from a full beast board to 2x Kalecgos, Bronze Warden, Razorgore and cobalt. The board becomes huge over 2 turns.

I also slip in a poisoned mackerel after the bronze warden.

Then I get offered a SECOND mackerel + Brann + Primalfin + Megasaur. So I sell down to 3 dragons (1 Kalecgos, 1 Razoregore, 1 Bronze Warden) and fully transition into double divine poison mackerel.

At this point everyone is dead or I could have transitioned further into the "taunt a single mackerel and fill the board with other divine shields" super comp. But it was such a crazy game that just kept giving and giving. I *might* have been able to win outright with the beast comp (at the very least top 2 or 3 was assured), but the beast resources were starting to dry up so I stand by the transitions I made.

Incidentally, pretty happy with the four cards they are looking at for nerfs.

Skull is obvious. They could reduce the discount it gets, but knowing them I expect them to keep the effect but up this to 6 mana.

Aldrachi Warblades flew under the radar during spoilers (I remember trying to convince people it was good and belonged in their theorycraft decks) but it's actually higher winrate when drawn than skull. Card can singlehandedly heal for 10-15 in a normal game while still having pretty reasonable weapon stats (and heal for 30ish in the combo deck). Could probably cost 4 mana; combo deck would still run it, but aggro deck might not.

Eye Beam is backstab that deals 3 and heals for 3. Kind of makes it hard to play any other aggro against DH aggro; should probably discount to 1 instead of 0. 1 mana pennance is still a really nice discount. Alternatively, could keep the cost reduction to 0, but reduce the damage to 2 damage (and probably make it a 2 mana spell).

Imprisoned Antaen isn't too bad if you have removal ready for it, but I've watched some streams of control players and man, if they don't have removal and the Antaen gets to attack for 10 it's just really bad. Expecting this to be like a 6/6 post-nerf. Or maybe 7/6 so it still dies to BGH.

Skull - Costs four, but have it draw two and reduce by two

Warblades - Keep it as a 3/2/3, but give it a battlecry that gives you lifesteal until the end of turn.

Eye Beam - Probably change it to a 2 that heals/deals 2.

Antaen - This dude just got out of prison apparently, so he's mad as fuck. The 10 damage goes anywhere, including itself.

I don't know, I've played three games so far where I actually played the game so I don't really know how everything feels so far outside of 'bad'.

Was hoping they'd change Priestess of Fury to "At the beginning of your turn" so you could at least have some kind of reaction to one of their missile-shooting cards.

I made it halfway through Karazhan with Odd Demon Hunter before the nerfs. Had three problem bosses and two that were just impossible. Couldn't beat Odd Rafaam or the guy in Karazhan that only takes damage from weapons.

I only got 3 skulls and 2 antaens (none golden).

Disenchanted the antaens. I feel like they might be kind of awful at 6 mana, and if they're not awful, it seems likely to be a deck I'm not hugely interested in playing. Kept 2 skulls. Cool card.

Uh, so with duplicate protection can't someone sell the nerfed rares and just get them again in their next pack(if it contains a rare of course) That's like a minimum of 100 dust per pack unless I'm missing something.

No, it keeps track of how many of each card you've opened. if you dust two skulls the game still remembers that you had two of them, so if you have every single rare and dust those two cards it will give you any rare at that point. Probably specifically to prevent something like this, I imagine.

I decided to try a Taunt Warrior deck, thought it might have some success against DH. Of course the two games I queue into aren't DH. The first one was a Beast Hunter that left the game after a few turns, but the second...

Taunt Warrior vs No Minion Mage is a fucking nightmare matchup. Game had to take half an hour and I don't think anything happened for the first 20 minutes. Lord help me I won so it wasn't a total waste but that's not something I'm in a hurry to see again.

The strangest part was I'm pretty sure the Mage played more minions in that game than I did...

I've been playing more and I don't think the game is fun right now.

Demon hunter is super OP. It doesn't help that I can now run exactly one deck and can't even access one of the cards because i dont want to buy the adventure. I think outcast is way too easy to trigger like the bonus you get for setting up for it (which is like almost no work in most demon hunter decks) is way too great.
