Trump has managed this situation pretty much as badly as he possibly could have and it's laughable to suggest otherwise. Also, he now blames the impeachment for being the big distraction that prevented him from taking action on the virus. Funny because I remember him stating on multiple occasions that he paid absolutely no mind to the process. He played gold and attended rallies enough times to prove he had plenty of free time and used none of it to prepare the country at all. All the times he downplayed the virus and said the United States had nothing to worry about was sending a message a carelessness that really hurt the USA. There was never going to be a way to stop this virus from spreading in the United States that is for sure, but the way Trump handled it turned the virus into a bigger issue than it should have been. I'd wager that a big number of infection and death are directly linked with him. I'll also add that I think it was just stupidity and pride, rather than any malicious intent that caused him to bungle this crisis so badly. I know a guy whose dad is 100% against abortion and wants planned parenthood shut down and all that. His son got someone pregnant and demanded he got an abortion.
