Are they a random drop? I heard there was a finite amount.

they drop from the 8th benevedon dungeon for sure, I've got a big stockpile I'll never need...... and never tried grinding for them, I was just satisfied by the dungeons ??? seed chests and I don't really think I had non-chest ??? seeds until the 8th

tbh 3rd classes are pretty madly broken on the benevodons anyhow............... even the 8th benevodon which was the last boss I've done so far was pretty simple with 3rd classes

Ive had 2 drop in the wood area so far after nothing in the Ive one for 40 minutes.

Some enemies seem to drop it more than others. If you've seen that enemy with that name and color before the Mana Sanctuary, it probably won't drop the ??? seeds. Is it a brand new enemy or new name/color combination, there's a good chance it will.

... Yeahhh unlike the other grinds which were made much easier, this wasn't. maybe I could've optimized my farming of seeds better early on, but not being to savescum the seed's gear means you do gotta get a bunch of seeds and pray one holds the remaining gear you need

Should note though there is some level of savescumming you can still do - whether the seed turns into an useable item or a gear item - but what that useable or gear item is is locked in. So really by the end of my grinding I would build up a bunch of seeds and keep savescumming until I've seen what every seed's gear item is, and then do targeted savescums to get all the available gear in that batch that I need.

... tho damn I'm definitely overleveled now whoops, in retrospect I should've just cleared through the final dungeon first and built up my seeds through normal play before grinding for gear >_>

So I've done the water and fire stone, but the Hero King implied I should change classes before going after the moonstone.

I'm only level 33. Should I be grinding more or something to reach level 38?

Not yet, that's just a carryover from the original game's script since you level up much more slowly in that game- that would have been around the time the party would reach level 18.

He just means the first class change, you cant actually do the second until youve gotten all the elementals.

Now i'm not normally one to question weird stuff in games but the opening to Riesz's story is a bit weird. Why the hell does a little kid have the key to an entire fortresses defences? Also i like how she just ducks out. Guess you just have to chalk that up to gaming logic.

So two things:

1. Lucent Beam+ absolutely wrecks, and when I'm facing enemies immune to it I just use Doppleganger.

2. I just Riesz's best weapon for her class (Stargazer) with a silver seed.

Wut.

Oh I guess there is an extra tier of item equipment that only comes from Rainbow seeds? And I have so many ??? seeds now lol.

Post-game dungeon feels kinda lazy and unnecessary long but its still fun.

First playthrough done. Beating the final boss in under 2 minutes on hard for all the chain abilities was kind of a joke with Angela. But I suppose she does kinda annihilate anything late game once you get her best spells.

What build as you using for Angela? Just curious.

Dark-Dark-Dark, all her abilities are increasing her magic power in some way (all the increase magic damage at the cost of HP ones) with the exception of the Black Rabite ability to make all spells cost 0, then just spam Ancient Power over and over.

Should I use the goddess scales to reclass? I went Grand Diviner because I heard it was the better route.

yeahh it's annoying how they don't give you the reclass items until the end, like I mentioned much earlier in the topic I was really banking on being able to swap out of Debuff Riesz in the beginning into Buff Riesz towards the end but whoop by the time I get a goddess scale I'm a completed 3rd class with full gear and don't wanna go through it all again on this file

Angela is kinda busted regardless of the route you end up taking, honestly.

And no, your class 4 upgrade will be locked into whichever path you took for your class 2 upgrade.

I bet it's too late now, but if you reclass at the start of post-game THEN do Angela's trial you can probably get the class 4 dark side.

Yup, tried it out and you start out from the beginning.

So this game is the very definition of a 7.5 game. The story is garbage and I have zero investment into anything happening, but it was the perfect length and the gameplay was pretty fun.

I don't think I really need to play the other scenarios. Think I'll play the post-game and call it good.

The subsequent playthroughs can be extremely quick, though, if you're ever curious to mess around with some of the other characters.

1st playthrough Riesz/Kevin Duran: lvl 99 get, class 4 gear get, post-game boss beated

and still fun while overleveled! especially with the time trial after, didn't think I'd be making that 2 minute challenge on first attempt but I did woo, realizing how super strengthened my Duran is definitely became my focus........ oh man that rewarded chain ability: items used in battle aren't consumed ... cool but then again I'm not really concerned about that anymo-.... or maybe it'll be fun to spam attack items actually!

beats Dark Majesty again, a class 4 strike kills each form lol... oh shit why aren't credits skippable on subsequent clears nooooo they were so longgg

Yup so if you use your goddess scale to reset to class 1, you can get the other class 4 if you'd like. You still have to go through class 2 and 3 (and the prerequisite class item) but its possible to reset from the light path to dark or vis versa.

Go back to your final dungeon depending on route (Crystal Desert, Jungle of Illusion, Dark Castle). There should be a rabite statue at the entrance thatll warp you to where the fight is.

I think black rabite is like 85? Its the toughest fight in the game, but if youre high 80s and have all your tier 4 classes you should be fine.
