I wish Ubisoft put as much effort into their games as they did in fckin prerendered trailers that don't tell me a damn thing

Historical accuracy was never the stronger point of the AC games. Myself I like Odyssey the most since it takes place in Greece. Plus I like the levelling and looting systems.

Desmond is long dead. We have a new female main character now. The Big Bad was Juno BUT they defeated her! In a novel. Yeah the big bad was defeated in a novel. So basically there is nothing to modern storyline now, except the usual find the secret treasures before Templars find them because they are bad people.

@RyoCaliente AC 3=1760 to 1783 AC Unity=1776 to 1795? There is DLC after the main story but I am not sure when exactly it takes place.

the new girl is pretty much the perfect self insert

smartest sassiest person leading a small team that evades all the templars and kills their teams sent after them all the while hiding out in some ancient ruins running the animus with some secret artifact that only she was smart enough to discover and link to the past

the new games also removed the parkour and climbing from the earlier games, now you just hold a button to stick to a wall and climb up without a care in the world, also no fall damage from 500 feet in the air

When you say "in a novel", do you mean an actual read world book? Or do you somehow mean an "in fiction" book?

I've played all the main games in the series except Origins and Odyssey (which I will get to eventually). Syndicate has that kinda neat WWI section where we see that giant digital Juno spouting exposition at you. It's a shame to hear that nothing ever comes of her.

Yeah, I know Origins and Odyssey are different types of games. Frankly that's probably a good thing. Unity and Syndicate were fine but overall kinda stale.

Unity was a hot buggy trashfire that burned me out on the series. Tried Syndicate, it seemed good but I just couldn't get into it. Played 15 minutes of Origins and then went back to Monster Hunter World and never looked back.

I'm down for this setting though and will probably check it out. Waiting to see Odyssey on sale again to give that one a shot.

Apparently, 66% of players picked Alexios. Based on all the articles, Tweets, and comments, it looked like the vast majority played as Kassandra and/or prefer her by a good margin. But the silent majority more often than not picked Alexios.
