Very excited to finally play this game again. I had a BLAST my first time about 2 years ago, and I know its gonna hold up.

If you didnt know, one of the defining features of this game is its RNG-based gacha elements that provide your main characters with weapons. There are very few of these weapons guaranteed to the player, and different blades have different strategic roles in battle (DPS/Healer/Tank), as do your characters. So, if the RNG isnt on your side, the main character, Rex, a natural DPS machine, might only get healer or tank blades, potentially limiting his capabilities, and forcing you to compensate for this weakness with the right setups and party compositions.

Ill largely be keeping the difficulty at this, only bringing it down to the lowest setting for the Shulk and Fiora recruitment quests (because theyre why Im doing this thing for)

I might challenge myself with Elma, since she breaks the game.

Gonna be experimenting with the DLC blades. Id very much like to try Dodge Tank Nia, just for fun, even though I know that might fuck me over for a few fights. Well see how things turn out.

I remember when Final Fantasy XIII normalized completely healing after every battle and did away with MP entirely, and everyone freaked out about how it was making the game way too easy.

Its weird to me thats an aspect of RPGs weve grown used to since then. I think its a change for the better

Using some of the DLC crystals I managed to get Rex paired with Agate (tank) Azami (DPS) and Adenine (Healer)

Seems like hes got a good setup so far. Things should run smoothly unless Nia gets fucked over by RNG
