Assuming you've lived in more than one state

UT > PA > IL
though utah's lack of real sports hold's it back. I otherwise enjoyed it. Weather was decent, you still got summer and winter, but most of the snow stayed in the mountains. Maybe 1 good storm a year and the rest it might make a mess of the morning commute then be melted by lunch. PA suffers from a lot of things being old and a lot of towns being built before cars were the standard. But western PA is beautiful and there is a lot of american history which I do enjoy. And given I live near philly, a lot of areas are a car drive away. IL is an awful nanny state with nothing good except chicago. High taxes, high crime, high corrpution. The lake means humidity in the summer and more snow in the winter. I miss portilos and always go a few times when i head back for Christmas, and i'll always be a fan of the cubs and bears and miss not getting to just go to a game, I otherwise have no desire to live there again. Hopefully I'll get to go out west, ideally near Seattle, but Oregon would be okay potentially. Though there is a small chance I can get work to send me to our California branch near LA. --- If you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all. I Like Toast Alt ... I've lived in California, Illinois, Alabama, and currently Nevada. I left CA when I was a year old so I can't say much about it. Spent my entire childhood in Il, loved it, a few bad spots but overall a nice place. I did my time in the Army down in Alabama, even without that the state is a hellhole. NV is ehh, quite as bit here I could do without but it's not as bad as Bama.

Bardstown Road area in Louisville, KY >>>>> any part of Indiana imo Funny you mention that, I'm less than 10 minutes away from Bardstown Road. With all due respect to your opinion, I feel like that neighborhood has really spiraled. Many of my favorite businesses there closed up shop, it's even dirtier than before, the "Highlands attitude" of the locals is often insufferable, etc. There are some bright spots though, like Safai Coffee. As far as young adult/hipster neighborhoods in Louisville go, I think NuLu is the most appealing one and Germantown is by far the worst. But going back to the Indiana comparison - I'd trade 'em all for Hubers. --- The music was thud-like. The music was... thud-like. ... Copied to Clipboard!
