nyc starts phase 1 opening on monday and phase 2 on the 22nd, do you think these protestors care about jobs and people returning to work? Nope, these democrats allowed this to go on long enough and soon the working people in nyc will get very rowdy against the protestors and politicians.

^ see people this is the problem. Have you thought that the rolex stores employee people that enables them to provide for themselves? That rolex pays taxes that goes to the city? No you people that hate capitalism dont think about many things. And you seem to think that only high priced stores are boarded up.

I don't hate capitalism but I think the creator of this video is missing the point entirely.I'm not going to shed my first tear for the good tax-paying owners of high end boutique stores. They'll bounce back without a doubt. Small business owners have had their entire livelihoods taken from them amidst the destruction. Who weeps for them?

And that's all without even getting into why society is in an uproar in the first place.

uh this is only one avenue in the city that wasnt even fully shown in the video. Many small businesses in many cities have been destroyed and are boarded up now, you should know that by now and there is no justification for the destruction.

Yall had 1-2 more weeks before things went back to relative normalcy and now things are FUBAR

Might as well go back into quarantine since most of NYC is a mess

im hoping that here in nyc we all have antibodies or immunity by now because if not we are going to have a spike that will be insane and we will go right back into lockdown which is not feasible economically. As of now nyc will never turn back to normal, too many businesses failed and too many wealthy people left.

Who the fuck are you to say whether the destruction was justified or not? It's just material shit, most of it insured.

People aren't busting up windows and tearing their cities apart because somebody shit in their cereal. We are living in a country where a large percentage of the population is literally the targets of violence and have almost no representation.

I don't expect you to really understand the complexities of the issue but I can promise you it's much larger than wanton destruction.

its sad that there are people like you out there who are fine with inflicting chaos on businesses that people own and work at to survive and to provide for themselves and their families, theres no reason for me to continue to converse with you.

I have a right to an opinion. It's sad that you don't respect that right. Not everyone comes from your background and sees things the same way as you do. Your close-mindedness sickens me.

you can have your beliefs and opinions but when people like you enact physical destruction then it becomes a problem. Good luck with your socialist revolution you guys want because its going to come to an end soon, people have to go back to work and go back to normalcy.

tl;dr premiums are gonna skyrocket, prices will increase to compensate, people stick with big businesses as a result, and this is assuming they dont consider it an act of god, which civil unrest occasionally falls under.

why does any of that have to do with looting and property damage lol, I live in the hood and nobody here felt obligated to fuck shit up

occams razor says people were looting because they knew they had a good chance of hitting a lick and escaping in the chaos. how much more justified do you want to make out a felony lol

I've never enacted destruction so don't pin this on me. Hell, I don't even support it. All I am saying is that I understand why it is happening.

Perhaps "normalcy" sounds good to you because you aren't one of the many living under oppression. This is my country too, which is something you are going to have to accept even if it is not within your capability to understand.

Oh yeah, about the whole you have insurance thing? Lets see how well that worked in the 1992 LA rio-

The majority of the local stores were never rebuilt. Store owners had difficulty getting loans; myths about the city or at least certain neighborhoods of it arose discouraging investment and preventing growth of employment. Few of the rebuilding plans were implemented, and business investors and some community members rejected South L.A

Well shit

This has nothing to do with Democrats vs Republicans.
If anything it has something to do with Police Unions.

And if you think 100's, 100's of New Yorkers Dieing each day from a Virus is no big deal that I do not know what to tell you.

Wtf is this guy talking about? He does know that some of the businesses preemptively boarded up their businesses right?

Its also funny that this is probably the same New Yorker that would bitch about how commercialized the city has gotten on a normal day.
