The question would be if he potentially has direct access to the other cop's gun and how he got on top of the other cop. If there is a chance of someone being shot and he's actively resisting, not sure what else you'd expect.

There are circumstances where he's being an absolute animal, and there are circumstances where he's taking action to avoid getting himself or a bystander shot. There's a chance the kid was doing nothing and they're basically just beating the shit out of someone, and there's a chance the kid was fucking wrestling with the other cop and had an opportunity to try to grab the gun.

That one dude was helping to subdue, and stopping the cop from punching. I'm pretty impressed.

The fact that he was so raged out that he was punching the other officer's hand and still wouldn't stop when a female officer told him to get off and was holding his hand down means this guy has already shown he doesn't belong there.

I'm so fucking proud of the black guy trying to handcuff him just to calm things down. As well as the other black guy in the background who grabbed the officer's hand and stopped him from swinging several times. They put their lives on the line.

honestly this just highlights the lack of training police have when it comes to grappling. As a Seasoned grappler theres absolutely is a way the cop on top could have pulled the child off the cop and subdued him with the punches smh

That was so painful to watch. How can those cops even think they are on the side of good?

I wholeheartedly agree. As a bouncer and a teacher I have to subdue people without striking quite often, so I know it can be done. Im just pointing out, like a couple others, that there is no context to why they are all on the ground trying to subdue this person. That poor child doesnt work if he was really fucking up.

Ok, there needs to be legislation in place to provide for some sort of action a civilian can place where stuff like this is happening.

i would also introduce legislation to make cops who fail to stop an abuser partner from keeping doing it, like in this video

Unless the suspect already struck one of the officers prior to the video, I don't see any amount of striking as reasonable force here, let alone the 7 or 8 strikes the officer on top did. Even then, considering the suspect was largely contained by this point and the officer on top could have clearly cuffed him but chose not to, I'm not sure there's any justification possible here.

Charge the officer and kick him off the force.
