Oh you cheeky bastard of a game... So I'm playing Harbingers: Last Survival, and they have a neat little system going. They have VIP privileges, but a lot of the stuff can be gotten by watching ads. Like you can only get results of 8 hours of idle exploration time normally, but if you go over, you can collect everything by watching an ad. Neat, right? What's even better is that you can watch an ad to increase the odds of getting certain characters, since they're divided into factions, and you can choose one of said factions to increase. However...it's not quite that simple.

After picking a faction, you need to spin a wheel and try to stop it on the one you want. If you don't get it, you need to watch another ad <_<

Well at the very least it works well. I finally got it to stop where I want, and my one pull pleased me :3

FishIsland (with no space, very important) also had a bunch of ad stuff. I think the game is dead now in global, but thinking back, they made me watch ads for the stupidest shit. I feel like they kept the rewards vague so you wouldn't figure out which ads were just a sheer waste of time

I mean it's nice that you can get VIP stuff without actually spending money. And you get VIP points daily, although I'm guessing it'll probably take years to get even a couple levels lol

this CC stage was a lot easier than the first one, though having Platinum and Meteorite really helped since they can potentially kill the Bombtails before they hit you

the Challenge Contracts, however, are not. All of them feel kind of rigged against the player, which I guess is the point. For the current one I'm looking at (#2, basically all ranged spots disabled) I think I probably need to level Mousse or Astesia, and maybe E1 Gummy (which is probably going to break some of my older AutoDeploy setups but oh well)

was also looking for a support Saria for this mission, and...is it just me, or do a lot of people have their skills not upgraded? I'll see units at E1 or even E2 with Rank 1-2 skills.

Only one I've ever been ablo to get into is FEH. All the others bloat the pulling pool with things I don't care about.

Looking forwards to the summer alts and this year's brave heroes.

Just got Nadine from a single ticket. I love that her normal attacks are literally her taking pictures.

the attacks even have clicks and rays of light in the animations. I love how much detail Cygames put in to their games.

I reached platinum in Battle Divas arena, and oh god the people in my league are basically like every #1~3 people I've ever seen in a single group

Lol... tfw 3 teams in a row had ults up turn 1 and bound my whole team against the wall with Ashanti's set. They also had Vel's set and Fran's set so I basically lost turn 1

Yeah, Astesia helped with Challenge Contract 2 a lot (and 1 was just an easier version of 2). Looks like Cuora is pretty essential for 3, so I guess I should put some more upgrades into her...5 looks particularly nasty, a lot of strategies seem to involve abusing the fact that Spectre can make herself invincible but I don't have her.

I'm still playing Magia Record and Battle Divas (I finally said my tearful goodbye to the dead-in-the-water Symphogear XDU) plus I'm also pre-registered for Tales Of Crestoria coming soon. Magia Record is my #1 game that I'm putting in the most effort into overall.

And stuff like this is why I barely ever touch PvP content in gacha games. The only ones I ever put even a mild amount of effort into PvP content were Fire Emblem Heroes and Magia Record, and even then I did it mostly for rewards and not to actually rank super high.

I would not put too much faith into Crestoria. The gameplay is literally just click attacks til enemy dies level of brain dead. I've rolled like 2 supposedly insane RRRs and all they did was just more damage.

It's what you would expect out of a Tales game turned to turn based. Tales combat is literally just more ways to do damage but you have action elements that balances it out. Take the action out and you got a really uninventive and boring game

hm, shouldn't be that hard unless you're pretty underleveled, and the rewards drop off as Risk gets higher so you shouldn't need to beat it with too much.

My problem is that I don't have the "correct" Operators. Pretty much every guide involves a bunch of *4 I don't have.

Fucking hell, the last two events at least waited until the end to shut me out, this one just said "fuck off" right out the gate.

I played as much of Crestorias beta as the crashes would allow and Im looking forward to it. Combat is a part of Tales games I couldnt care less about. I find the story and characters interesting (though I would prefer to not have past games characters). It has skits. My concerns are the number of dupes needed, the possibility of needing specific characters to pass content (the normal gacha concerns in other words), and the stability. The beta crashed a lot.

I only do the bare minimum of 5 matches per day of Mirrors in Magia Record (10 per day during Ranked Mirrors seasons) for the daily rewards, and even though I always try to win my battles, I never really worry about what rank I get at the end of the season. I think I've gotten A-rank in every season so far, never good enough to reach the whales in S-rank but good enough to outpace most of the player base sitting in B-rank or below.

Hahah, I was actually finding this level a bit more difficult than the previous, I figured those two would be especially helpful for this stage, but I haven't trained my Meteorite yet. Still managed to get the 8 though, but that was with Angelina (And Texas lol) as my sole rear anti-air DPS

BD pvp is more or less automatic anyways. I guess at the very least if I get destroyed, it was like eh that was just 2-3 min wasted for free honor. Just being in plat alone gives me enough honor to buy a weapon next week. I'm certainly excited for that

It's pretty obvious where Fran and Celeste should go, right? Both of them can move into position to hit all the enemies. But then instead, Fran moves above and to the side of the top guy so she hits ONLY him, and Celeste moves to the bottom, hitting only the bottom two. My only reaction is <_<

Yeah I think from some observation and general messing around, the attack order also matters on how AIs decide. It would seem they judge enemies being killed by an attack pretty poorly, which is why sometimes they'll attack the 1 instead of the 3 because they think the attack at the 3 by the previous units will reduce those numbers. If you put Fran on top, a lot of times she will just go for the most amount of units able to be attacked.

Might just be a coincidence, but absolutely for sure the AI determines the move order from top to bottom, which means even if an ult pushes an enemy back or something, the AI won't reconsider the moves of units they already determined the move for.

Yeah, I've noticed that while watching my characters do auto battles in non-PvP modes. That's why whenever I have a character with a knockback ability in my party like Sigurd or Fran, I always put them last (or second-to-last if I'm also using Nightengale for healing) in my lineup order so they don't accidentally knock enemies out of my other characters' attack ranges. I also never use them both together.

Pretty much every 4* Operator should be easy to get though as long as you're doing a decent amount of Recruitment/Headhunting. I was missing Myrtle until this banner but I think that's only because she's relatively recent and I got a 5* immediately on her banner, so I just stopped rolling there.

tbf, one of the things I dislike about the game is the amount of faffing around you have to do in order to actually get your free rolls from daily currency, you don't really get much just from logging in, so if you haven't been playing it too actively that makes more sense.

I did have to vary up my composition a bit to actually get it working properly, could only fit 1 Medic on the center line which meant that one character in the backline had to go without healing, but the bottom position barely gets any enemies for whatever reason so it worked out fine.

ty, that was actually pretty helpful for today's mission (Myrtle being potential 1 bit me in the butt again, as did Siege being E1 so she doesn't have access to her full DP generation, but thankfully you can let two enemies through and still clear). Also huh, I didn't realize it before but I guess the rest of the daily missions are just the first two maps again with different conditions, which is a little disappointing but oh well.

I couldn't roll Kagura's gacha exclusive set but I rolled a few out of impatience and got the last piece of Kagura's other set, which might potentially be better. Depends on how lucky I can get in the honor store I guess. I'll have enough to buy it in the next week, despite me losing every single pvp duel today lmao

i thought that one was easier, though if you don't have some combination of Meteorite/Platinum/Shirayuki to kill the drones before they move towards you, you could probably bait the bombs with Gravel/Yato.

Seems like that map will be reused in the future so better get ready to deal with it again

I have two copies each of the accessory and badge for the Divine Judgement set (but not the body) and two copies each of the accessory and body for the Primordial Radiance set (but not the badge). If I don't complete either set by the time the banner goes away, I'm going to be fucking pissed.

Yeah the weapon is definitely the hardest part. A guy in PVP had the set and destroyed me with it though, so it's definitely pretty good if you're able to get it.

I'm gonna cool it with the game for a bit til the next event rolls around though. Surprised with the Kagura's normal set thing but could be a long while til I can get her set weapon anyways. I guess the way to play these games is just to not care too much when things get hectic and they start trying to loosen your wallet

I actually tried with Firewatch because of her massive range. But that other map was so easy for me since you can just clog up the one exit and burst DPS the caster bosses. It was surprisingly easy even without ranged units because Saria is a great healer, and I just use Projekt Red for stun and Chen to insta-nuke since she can use her skill as soon as shes deployed lol

Wait, those sets also require a specific weapon too, not just putting them on Kagura? Shit. Let me check which weapon I have for her... okay, it looks like the weapon I have for her is the one that goes with the Divine Judgment set. Is that the super good set? Or the weaker one?

They're both good, but the gacha one that makes her ult offensive, you absolutely need the set. The one you can technically get through other means, it's more or less a bonus and makes her an offensive healer

Sadly I don't have my phone with me, but the weapon for it is gonna be at the end of the list of Kagura's weapon, and the sets look like a crown, vest, and a shining thingy for badge. If you tap the set info on the weapon, should tell you what set it is. Otherwise the armor sets usually also have the name of the set on it as well
