I've been using an iPhone for the last 5 years and I'm shopping for a new phone. I was planning to wait until this fall and get the iPhone 12 Max, but now I'm considering getting an Android phone instead.

What Android phones are good these days? I don't want to overpay, but I also don't want to be too cheap either.

I mainly just want an unlocked phone with a large screen (current phone is an iPhone 6 Plus), with really long daily battery life, and fast. I don't really need any extra bells and whistles like triple cameras that I'll never use.

Right now for me at least, the S20 is the best phone I've ever used especially with the 120hz screen (though that's a battery hog, but so worth it). The thing has 12 GB ram and can emulate the Wii at 60 fps.

There's other really good stuff. I think the best bang will probably be the S10. Can be had for around $500-$600 unlocked if you shop around.

Nokia 8.1, or if you are on a budget the Nokia 8 are solid phones. A full charge should last you a couple of days depending on usage.

Yes, Dolphin is on the Play Store, however the better version is on GitHub which can be easily sideloaded.

Edit: Essentially, the S20 is so powerful that you won't notice the difference. But anything lower, the GitHub version will excel.

Thanks. One of my main concerns is battery life since that is one of the reasons I am buying a new phone to begin with. Does the screen on the S20 really drain the battery quickly?
