Match 1 is much closer than the ratings and rankings show. Merciless Saviour is actually sounding better right now, but not by much.

Isoleucine is my most confusing high 9. At one point in my earlier versions, it was as high as 4th in the rankings and I keep wanting to lower its rank every time, but the song keeps reminding me why its a high 9 despite not having much emotion evoked from me compared to most of my high 9s, and why I should rank it higher again. It's a never ending cycle.

The overall sound of it is outright fantastic to my ears, probably only equaled by Apostle's Maraud in that respect. I don't feel like pointing out every second of it so here's a couple more things... The occasional string instrumentstion that chimes in is amazing, and the sections of.... whatever this sound is during ~2:23-2:49 and other similar sounding stuff is so freaking n a s t y. I remember going "holy shit" upon hearing this section for the first time in its match against Toccatina.

Now I am all super pumped on the weaker amino acid song again. Maybe it actually is a top 5 calibur song...

Hm. I've liked DNF more than TIGAR for the longest time, but I might like TIGAR more now. (in fact, yes I do now that I listened to them back to back!) I guess most of DN's melodies falls flat to me these days, and the early-mid stuff in TIGAR resonates with me more in terms of chords. Those effects that I didn't like that I associate with dubstep don't bother me anymore. DNF does has that amazing moment at 4:46, though.

dv-i saved my life, that i will never forget. match one is still the closest match in r4 for me, huge fan of both, but i don't Thiiink i will flip this time, thought quite hard about which I was going to vote for. Merciless Savior hits more sides of my tastes at once, i'll be in the mood for it more often, and the combination of things it does that I like is a rare combo of things to find in the same song...but Classroom NAILS the thing it does better than almost anything else similar to it for me, really one of the first songs I think of when I think of "i want to hear music that sounds like Classroom from Aurora Memoria" oh wait that's the same song as it self oops

second match is actual evil. i hate this a lot you guys don't even understand. was seriously considering swapping and betraying DNF because isoleucine is just such an insane discovery for me lol like. i like it CONSISTENTLY more than DNF, the ZERO part drags it down a bit for me. but -I- is so good, and -II- is my 2nd favorite individual song in the entire game and as a package its sooooo gooooood. isoleucine is like all the same level of amazing, but that's below the peak that is -II-, and I feel like I want to listen to parts of isoleucine alone as opposed to in the whole phase package. so i think going DNF still makes sense. but whoever wins here i will be taking very, very deep into the bracket basically lol

Pretty easy choices. Though I am sad that another All Phase Mix is exiting in Round 4, where they maximize the amount of time they can be stupid. I don't even dislike "Jumble of Letters and Numbers" as a whole, but it's really not just a single song and some of the songs are not that good.

8. Aurora Memoria - Classroom [9]

I love Classroom. I voted against it last round and it was a very hard decision, but I'm glad it won its match. I love basically everything about it; it's such a delight to listen to. The Merciless Savior has parts I like and parts I don't care about, and at over seven minutes it's kind of chore at times. Possibly the easiest match of the round for me.
