What are the strategies for running away when you have a tail?

Also for Hexagone. I feel like I'm doing well and staying a couple levels above everyone but then when I fall, I fall 2-3 levels because there's nothing left by that time.

hot take: egg scramble is fun as hell. it's super fun teaming up with 3 other friends and just completely stonewalling anyone from taking any eggs from your base.

the absolute worst minigame is perfect match because almost no one ever gets eliminated and you don't even have to pay attention at all, just follow the crowd

I still don't understand how people get eliminated in Jump Club. Best I can tell the green and red spinning things need to align to even have a chance of knocking someone out and it's easy enough to just run away a bit until they space out.

I love this game

1. Hex A Gone - best game by a wide margin, good mix of win with skill or lose due to falling 6 floors at once
2. Slime Climb - the skill game, great to have it round 1 and go 60 to 7 players
3. Block Party - this game has potential to be so much better, but i like the base idea here, they need a few more challenging obstacles
4. Jump Club - this basically never comes up, but its hilarious watching people get stuck on the bar and whipped around
5. Roll Out - another game with huge potential to be made much better
6. Door Dash - anarchy
7. The Whirlygig - great obstacle course
8. Hit Parade - i like the way its laid out
9. Fall Mountain - easy to win fairly often
10. Dizzy Heights - really easy to win almost every time
11. Tip Toe - fun
12. Gate Crash - love doing flips from diving over a rising gate
13. Fall Ball - so fun to win 11-0 camping the center
14. Hoarders - Fun as long as you aren't on the bad team (Yellow)
15. Perfect Match - needs to be an elimination game instead of just 3 rounds
16. Rock N Roll - sucks when you have a moron teammate who runs way ahead at the start to grief others long before they are even there
17. Fruit Chute - love seeing someone just get wrecked with a full speed watermelon
18. See Saw - why do so many people not understand how see saws work?
19. Hoopsie Daisy - is fine, just dull to me
20. Jinxed - can be really fun
21. Egg Scramble - grabbing mechanics are wonky, hence why this and tail games are all last.
22. Tail Tag - timer too long
23. Team Tail Tag - timer too long
24. Royal Fumble - timer too long

honestly if there are going to be so many games using grab mechanics, they need to drastically fix the mechanic and take those games out of the playlist until they do.

I've really come around on Tip Toe. At first I thought it was badly designed because it encourages people to just follow the pack, and if you try to actually be proactive, you'll just lose.

And, uh, I still sort of think that, because games often involve a crowd just waiting around near the end hoping anyone else goes first.

But there's a strange art form to figuring out the exact moment when someone's going to break away and reveal the final path, and being ready to follow as soon as it does. Or looking at the shaky tiles and figuring out the most likely path (because there is some logic to it) and going for it on your own, is very satisfying.

So I kind of like it now.

I hate the tail games so much, it is so stupid being 10 steps in front of someone and they steal your tail

my most common pattern is probably

Dizzy Heights >> See Saw >> Team Tail Tag/Egg Scramble >> Tip Toe >> Fall Mountain

Had some nice karma where someone was waiting at the finish line with 29/30 qualified, obviously intending to wait until someone was just about to reach the end then finish and eliminate them, but everyone else took so long to even get close, that the game just ended suddenly on 29 and eliminated the guy.

That's how it was for me at first, I always got See Saw and Slime Climb

now I haven't gotten Slime Climb even once in the last couple days

man, i just had a see saw where i started front row and got off to an early 1st, and did every single see-saw with no one else on them with me. smoothest run ever.

starting to see Jinxed more all of a sudden, which is nice since i kind of like that one

i have some specific loops i use for the tail chase games.

for the free-for-all with many tails, i usually just loop around underneath the center circle. people tend not to look there

for the tail chasing game, i usually just run back and forth along the upper platforms- people tend to be focused on the center treadmill loop, and since you have the high ground, it's obvious when someone is coming your way, and you can escape in pretty much any direction you want

i've never rolled tail chasing for the final round

overall, the key is to have as many directions of escape as possible so one or two people can't cut you off

One issue I've noticed with games like Jinxed and the hoop one is that when you're near the outside walls, the camera just doesn't work at all

I thought once I could hide away up there during Jinxed but when I even got near the wall I couldn't even see anything anymore

I love to watch that shit. I watched a guy stand around once for a long time at the finish line fucking around. He finally got bored when no one came for a while and wandered back to the obstacle course and accidentally fell off and respawned behind the final group coming across. He tried so hard and got eliminated right at the finish line. I laughed so hard. Karma's a bitch!

Roll Out (needs to be sped up the longer it goes on because it is way too easy)
Hit Parade (also a bit too easy)

Low Tier:
Hoarders (just doesn't feel much of what I do has an impact until the last 20 seconds)
Hoopsie Daisy (too much RNG on who wins)
Egg Scramble (fucking eggs)
Royal Fumble (too anticlimactic for final game)

GTFO Tier:
Door Dash (no skill required)
Tip Toe (punishes taking the initiative and rewards passive/cowardly play)
Perfect Match (boring and rarely eliminates a significant number of players)
