Today's contestants: MATCH 1: SBAllen vs. Jane Eyre (GameFAQs Running Gag) "A legendary rivalry that dates all the way back to 2011, when the original Rivalry Rumble was about to take place. SBAllen, indecisive about what would the next contest be about, looking for fresh ideas, discarded the thought of an All-Fictional Character Battle, claiming that seeing the evil Darth Maul battling out against the beauty Jane Eyre wasn't something he looked for, and rooted for a Rivalry contest. And so, the meme was born." -Advokaiser Gryffindor vs. Slytherin (Harry Potter Saga) "Many years after the foundation of the Four Houses of Hogwarts, a dark secret arose from the midst of Slytherin. Lord Voldemort's alter-ego, Tom Riddle, became a part of this House, while Voldemort's prophezised mortal enemy, Harry Potter was selected for the House of Gryffindor afterwards. At first, the rivalry between the different houses was minimal and innocent, with the young Draco Malfoy picking on Harry and his friends in order to gain more points for their house. The Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers have met a record 12 times in the NBA Finals, starting with their first Finals meeting in 1959. They would both go on to dominate the league in the 1960s and 1980s, facing each other six times in the 1960s, three times in the 1980s, and two times in 2008 and 2010. The two teams have won the two highest numbers of championships in the NBA: the Celtics have won 17, and the Lakers have won 16 (11 as the L.A. Lakers and 5 as the Minneapolis Lakers). Together, they account for 33 of the 73 championships in NBA history. As of 2018, the Celtics and Lakers have a .590 and .596 all-time winning records respectively.
