Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale

I've been saying it for literally 8 years but this game was a fuckin blast and has some much potential as a series because PS exclusives have spawned many of the best gaming icons of the last 2 decades.

It got written off immediately upon the first trailer dropping for being a Smash Bros knockoff, and then got written off upon release for being too different from Smash Bros. I remember being excited to see Game Grumps play it, only for them to complain that it was just a cheap Smash ripoff, then lose repeatedly by trying to play it like it was Smash instead of learning the rules of the game, and then complain about it being the game's fault.

It also definitely didn't get the support it needed from Sony, with them not hyping it up enough and not putting enough people behind it to fully flesh out the game's story mode and such, but what we got was still an incredible party fighting game full of unique characters, fun stages and great music

Super Smash Bros. 4

While it's true that each Smash game is better than the previous installment, Smash 4 gets a lot of hate for being so similar to Ultimate in mechanics that it is seen as being completely pointless now. For some reason people hate on Smash 4 in particular, despite this being the case with every entry in the series. Smash 4 had better online than Ultimate and Custom Moves which were very fun. Obviously it's not better than Ultimate, but people act like it's just as worthless as Brawl, Melee, and 64 now.

Agreed. Im still hoping for a sequel someday.
