It's a grind, but it's a fun grind. You have to run vaults in the new area, but it's honestly a super fun game mode. The best thing, vaults also heavily cut into the other grinds, so it's a good path go follow rn. Overall the update is real good, they changed the way rep works, so you can grind rep and store it up for later use through a token system.

The new warframe is...already getting a rework

really interested in necramechs but havent done any vaults yet due to laziness and hearing they were pretty buggy. could you give me a quick rundown of what those missions entail?

They fixed the main bugs in the latest hotfix and are running a script to give people the look they lost. They're super fun, i've run a couple dozen 3x vault runs (there are 3 of them you need to complete in the same session to get the best tier stuff), but they're easy as long as you bring good equipment, fun, and feel good to repeat.

You go out into the world, have to collect 16 randomly generated drops (quick, they're marked on your map), defend a point for a minute, then go underground and defend an area while the infested poison the area, from there you go into the outer vault, have to fight a necramech (1 then 2 then 3 on the final vault). From there you defend loyd while he turns on a series of buttons, then you have access to the vault itself. All in all, a run of 3x vaults takes ~25-30 min if you're not optimized.

Right now the popular/good frames for it are wisp to speed up loyd while he moves around, octavia/mesa for the killing, but most frames can work well. Just bring something to kill a lot.

It looks like something trying to imitate 40k, but nothing like anything I expect in 40k.

just watched the video, and after reading your post about how to get down there its definitely not as intimidating as my friend was thinking it would be. definitely runnable as a team of two.

so i tried doing some with my friend, but it was giving us entirely different rooms than in the video. vault 1 and vault 2 both didnt have the proper rooms to hit the crystals like in the video to open the secret areas, at all.

are they different on console?

Vaults are randomly generated sort of, but they're also bugged to sometimes reset. The only thing that matters is if 1, 2, or 3 mechs to determine it's tier.

Grinding isn't necessarily a bad thing if the core gameplay loop is compelling. The most successful games in the world are "grinding games".

The problem is finding a game that really grabs you with it's gameplay. Warframe just wasn't your cup of tea.

Bingo. League of legends is still a grind fest, but they've done a lot to improve and the grind is fun and rewarding for people that like the gameplay.

If you enjoy the actual game, the grind is just doing something you already enjoy doing, just with a slight goal attached to the end

I spent like 200 bucks on this game in the past month or so

i feel ashamed. This new expansion or whatever is nice. I liked the rail jack stuff too

Although Warframe could use a bit more variety in its grinding. I got so sick of Sedna-hydron.
