they really like movies in India. I'm not sure if they like filmmaking as an art, but they definitely like movies.

Bollywood Aerobics rocks, it's my favorite kind of areobics after beat saber.

Here is a simple one to get started with. It's a blast (and it's not just for girls).

Delta, I honestly think you are like the Game Master, lol. I mean, I have a ton of games and have played them for like 45 years (basically since pong/activision, commedor 64, TRS 80 etc), but you are like beyond me on how many games you have/played lol...which I honestly didn't think was possible.

That totally rocks though.

Just take any movie but make it goofy and also throw in unnecessary musical numbers every 20 minutes or so.

Actually slumdog millionare (which I really need to rewatch) is where I first started really liking bollywood dancing. I had seen it/heard it before, but I was really into hard rock and metal when younger, and for some reason it just made me start dancing when I saw it at the end of that movie. I still have not actually watched much actual bollywood movies though lol.

I watched most of a 2-parter Bollywood piece. Parts of it were okay, but it was overshadowed by some shockingly racist shit. Like... I can tolerate some amount of insensitivity/unawareness in a work but black people were basically depicted like LotR orcs, and that's just one problem I had with it. There were a slew of things that just dragged my enjoyment down into the dust, and it sucked.

I'm kinda surprised you could go so long without learning what it is, especially since so many times when it's referenced in a show it's explained thereafter.

India has the world's second-largest population so it's somewhat natural for it to have a thriving film industry. I'm honestly not sure that it's gained a lot of popularity lately, but the quality has been improving over the years and, more importantly, thanks to the growth of streaming services starved for content, a lot more Bollywood is being picked up for international audiences. NF has an absurd amount of stuff.

Plus India has a very large English speaking population and there are a lot of dubbed Bollywood films (using Indian actors... or maybe they're just filmed in English?) which makes it easier for international distribution.

While you're probably being overly sensitive, India, China, and... well, pretty much everywhere except the US, UK, and Canada tend to not share American sensitivities regarding race so it can be shocking to people who aren't used to the media in other nations.

Not on our Netflix. I get a lot of Indian B-movies. I guess Surrey has a stronghold on that decision-making.

I didn't say that the UK doesn't have racists, I said that it closely adheres to the same kind of political correctness seen in the US and Canada.

I'm watching a Romance "erotic" drama called Zed and am 30 mins in.

It's interesting I guess. The female romance lead is hot.
What is with the anti-smoking PSA text every time a character smokes, or the "This crocodile was a dummy and not real" text...bizarre how they do that
Hopefully they show the girl's boobs later.

Bollywood has been popular in India since the 1950's, it's really only gained exposure in the West in the last couple decades, and with growing online platforms, exposure continues to grow.

Pretty sure that depicting darker-skinned people (I think they were using make-up to make the invading army darker-skinned though my eyesight is, admittedly, terrible and it was years ago that I saw it so I'm not sure... don't remember the title either so I can't look it up) as cannibalistic orcs trying to invade your country so they can rape your women is not a viewer sensitivity issue.

It (rather ironically) reminded me of Camp of the Saints, which I'm pretty sure no Indian would have any problem with saying is extraordinarily racist.

Mission accomplished.
The song is really catchy though..

Also Indian Women are so hot, I kind of want a Indian girlfriend but most Indian people here where I live seem to stick to their own race.
