Ordinarily when one posts a topic like this, they post the original claim and then the irrefutable evidence that the claim is false.

You only posted the claim, then called it a lie without evidence.

Can we just appreciate that apparently protesters walked a casket full of dirt to the front door of the police department and the cops saw nothing? I'm guessing it took a truck to bring this into the cop's parking lot and then about 8 guys to carry it up to the door. And the cops are like, "how did this get here?" That should make everyone in Asheville feel safe.

What a mystery!

What makes more sense:

1.) Protestors get the idea to do some random symbolic gesture by leaving a coffin at the front door of a police station.

2.) The police get the same idea and do it to their own police station.

Honestly, the smell test tells me it was the protestors. If the police were going to fake it, they'd probably fake something more interesting.

a. the protesters were able to walk right up to the front door carrying a huge heavy object and leave it there without any cops at all seeing it, inside a building where there are conveniently and absolutely no security checks or cameras. then the police decided that the best thing to do is to take a picture and throw it on twitter instead of calling EOD or bomb techs to make sure it's safe

b. the police did it themselves because they want to get sympathy points on twitter and paint protesters as crazy weirdos

it's inside. that picture is in the front lobby. they mean doorstep to the area only cops are allowed into. it was inside the building. does that floor look like it's outside to you?

There is dirt on the floor. Look at the picture. There is clearly dirt on the floor around the coffin, and the bits of dirt on the floor coincide with the places along the rim of the coffin where the dirt is spilling over. As for the handles, I don't really get what you're saying.

Have you worked much with dirt? Do you know how wet soil behaves? Moving an object a few feet doesn't magically wipe every trace of dirt off the surface. I don't really get what you're trying to say about the handles. Whatever it is you're trying to say, it's not proof of anything in either direction.
