Subway workers always act either weird or hostile. Reminds me of gamestop employees which is why I stopped going to both.

Also why do they put the condiments last? Shouldn't they go first on the bread?

Most retail stores, including grocery stores scan all coupons at the end, for some reason fast food has it backwards. I think coupon users likely give the coupons at the end of the transaction right before they pay out of habit. I think it's just lack of knowing, not them being jerks.

Subway has a uniquely awful customer base. While I've never worked at one myself, I've seen more customers flip out at Subway than at any other chain. It's a magnet for belligerent assholes who get real fuckin' choosy about every little topping.

Now, it still isn't okay for employees to have an adversarial attitude towards customers in general... but I can see how being a Sandwich Artist would be particularly soul-crushing. So, I try to give 'em the benefit of the doubt with weird interactions. Who knows what they've been through during that shift.

any annoyance over a coupon would be down to logistics like it's more difficult to put it through the system or whatever. or like mentioned before they've already rung up the sale then the coupon is mentioned. you're getting free shit at least give them a heads up
