After a dozen tries, I finally beat the car chase scene in Yakuza Kiwami on hard.

Absolutely awful part of the game. My god.

First thing to come to mind was the awkward rhythm game challenge in God of War 3. It wasn't hard, just completely broke the game's immersion and felt completely out of place.

Generic hated parts include, escort missions, forced stealth, blitzball (I dont agree cause I love that minigame).

I guess I made the question open-ended enough to where the responses fit, but I more meant worst required part of the game. Like parts of a game that might totally derail a playthrough theyre so boring/hard/bad/etc

Specific example is using a third-party controller to do the part of RE4 where the Salazar statue chases you, on professional. Controller wasn't responsive enough for the quick button inputs and I kept dying. It was the first time I ever did a pro run of the game and I didn't initially realize it was the controller, so for about a 30m period I fucking loathed RE4 and regretted having ever liked it.

Also one that's really on the mind is the skating competitions in the THPS games.

What they did to most of the original characters from Chrono Trigger in Chrono Cross.

The car chase scenes in the various Yakuza games are generally fine on normal.

It's higher difficulties that turn them into tests of endurance.

Underwater levels.

Wait...collecting the artifacts is the entire goal of the first game!

I thought of the ball rolling in the Galaxy games too. That's a good one. Though they're kinda fun, they just are so unnecessary and not near as good as the rest of the game.

Oh also the super repetitive fistfights in Uncharted 3. But Uncharted 3 didn't hold a candle to 2 anyway.

E: Hold up, I just thought of the winner - the "final boss"/ending of BioShock.
