Lol I saw the review, he also wrote this review about Birds of Prey.

Basically this is a movie were the characters go from place to place without a motivation, because the plot is a pathetic excuse to push an agenda (not that weird these days). Of course every man is super evil and of course every woman is perfect, no flaws, a perfect mary sue that doesn't need nothing and nobody. None of the main characters faces any challenge or any type of struggle whatsoever, no character growth or interesting plot line, the movie is just brainless and stagnant. The fight scenes are incredibly pathetic, some of the worst I've ever seen. I would give it a 3/10 because it's a bad movie, but because of the feminist agenda and because of the fact that they BUTCHERED the original characters and the universe from which they came from, this "movie" deserves a 1/10 I'd rather watch "the last jedi" rather than watch this movie again

It's based off a book/fairytale that is fair game for any kind of interpretation. The racism is a disgrace to see because it's not based off a real person.

The thing about "defending their culture" is that the black actors in this movie are British. This is their culture. They are British people adapting British media.

The only argument that would validate the critics who are "defending their culture" is if they don't consider black people to be British. Either that, or if they argued that the stories were written by a white Briton for a white British audience, and are thus culturally white.

Yup. Whenever you have a strong female character, lgbt character, interracial couples, or people of color in prominent roles you always have bigots finding "subtle" ways to trash on it without outright admitting they're a bigot.

Another part of British culture that they seem to forget is that they're largely accepting of people from other countries, hence why it's made up of varying religions, ethnicities, etc. Well, that and because they've invaded everyone on the eastern side of the planet.

I bet half of those people talking about british culture aren't even British and simply using it as a mask to be racist.
