Current Events > Yo, can there be any issues if I don't update a name change on cards?

cuttin_in_farm 10/24/20 2:02:21 PM #1:	I just had a legal name change. Due to covid and state buildings having terrible service, that spent a full year to complete with social security. I thought changing my name on my cards and subscriptions would be quick. Just call, upload the court order forms, and viola. But jfc. I have eleven credit cards and four debit cards. The ONLY bank thats been easy is Discover. Everyone else either outsources their call centers so I cannot communicate effectively or require me to mail things tediously. And mailing a bunch of people to change a name on a card is not worth the money to the post office. Not to mention my subscriptions and insurance. So. Is there any harm to NOT updating your name for stuff? Can I just carry around my new id with my new name and old id with old one and be fine? I imagine since CE is full of dudes, yall might not know.
