I found the game extremely repetitive after 40 hours.
I mainly played in Beta. I don't know how it changed post-release.

40 hours is a good length for a game. I left a positive review on Steam.

To be honest I cant play most games for more then 40 hours without feeling the repetition become taxing.

Though I have returned to some of these titles after a long break (looks at Darkest Dungeon which is a great game even if normal mode is too grindy)

I got stuck on the last boss at one or two cells and am not finding anything to spend my cells on so taking a hiatus.

Tbh, all things considered I've gotten better and better as time has gone on. I can just only stay stuck for so long before being stuck is disheartening.

And I have other games that need some love, so no loss. It's been fun and it will be fun again in the future.

I never got past the last boss at 1BSC, but it really is an excellent game.

Yeah It's a greta game I have had since early beta (maybe it was even alpha at first shrug). I've played it a ton, but not since it actually released. I keep meaning to give it a solid go, since new stuff was added, but I get distracted.

It's up there with my most favorite 2d side scrollers though.
