I mean, as level 1, right? Level 1 in any class would dominate against almost any person irl.

If we're talking level 20 you're basically god.

I would choose Life Cleric and heal and save ppls lives :)

Wizards can't heal or bring people back to life.

Edit: I suppose there is the Wish spell.

But who gets to level 20?! :p

And it'd be your one wish for the day. And you take damage every spell you cast after Wish, so not really super effective.

Clerics can derive their power not from deities, but from their own personal code and beliefs. You can be an atheist cleric.

Yeah, but Wish is super funky. By causing a healing effect, there's a 33 percent chance you can't cast Wish ever again.

I know it's super. ;)

But yeah, I guess it depends on the rules/dm you use for it. As written though using the staple effects to resurrect a body or heal someone doesn't incur negative effects though.

See, that's what I was wondering. It says you can recreate the effects of any spell. I assumed it meant the spell had to at least be on your spell list, (wizard) which no healing or resurrection spells are. With Wish there is a healing effect (not a spell recreation) which incurs the 33% chance penalty.

Wish can generally create any spell. Or do whatever the caster wants.
So while we don't have true ressurection, we can cast it.
Or if we didn't know of it we could ask for the soul to be placed into the destroyed body and make it just as healthy as before.

The problem with the open ended wish is that DMs can be corrupt

I typically go by the SRD/3.5 definition, which has healing of various kinds and resurrecting someone without any negative effects. When you cast the big boy stuff bad things can happen and turn it into a monkey's paw wish.

I voted Druid, although this sort of depends on which rule set & how high level you can get. Wizard, Cleric, & Druid & then Monk would be the best choices, assuming we're going with the D20 (3.0/3.5/Pathfinder) set of rules.

The casters are obvious, but the Monks have abilities that make them immune to diseases, poison, and eventually old age. Not to mention the fact that they can speak with any living creature-- which would be pretty fucking cool.
