all of the close states are going to do recounts. hopefully by hand since otherwise they'd need to do that too and keeping track of specifics to them to make it easier later based on what gets kept or thrown out.

there's also lawsuits you can expect on machines, more lawsuits regarding verification of mail ballots, probably a separate cross check of dead people ballots, i'm not sure what else off the top of my head. but across all those states, we're in for a lot of court battles and a lot of tweaking to results and numbers.

I don't understand how there is no push to standardize the rules across the states so that you don't have situations like this, or the 2000 election dumpster fire

Also people getting excited about Putin potentially resigning need to understand, he may resign, but he will absolutely still be pulling the strings and making all of the decisions of whoever succeeds him. It's pretty typical in shady third world country governments that a leader like that leaving office doesn't really mean anything.

In PA a candidate can call for a recount if the margin is within .5%. I expect most sources are reluctant to call it when it's still in range for a recount, because calling Pennsylvania for Biden is the same as calling the election.

I *think* since NC is allowing votes received up to seven days after the election as long as they are postmarked by election day, they said they would not provide any updates on the mail in stuff until the 10th.

That little trickle we got was very small and probably just counties finishing up day of voting, if I had to guess.
