Not really. A turtleneck provides an even pressure around the entire neck, whereas with a toddler, the shape and size of their hands would result in very obvious points of high and low pressure that wouldn't even come close to covering the entire neck.

Also, in response to falling in with the "same clique" from earlier: what clique? I don't have strong relationships or friendships with really any current posters here. In fact, Jen was the first person I ever blocked on Facebook. You are misattributing relationships to me. My clique is long gone. Crimson_Jesus, thekidwiththefa, ZessT, and more I can't remember right now all left before I did the first time. GunslingerChris is probably the only remnant and he just recently came back himself. Aside from them, my other "clique" I posted a lot in was the same one you're part of: the Geek threads. PO and Wave Master are the only people I'm interested in hearing from there anymore though.

I've been exposed three times so far this year because I had the bright idea of taking in my dipshit nephew while he's going to college. He caught it a little over a month ago. I ended up getting tested myself but the morons at the testing place must've dumped my test in the trash because I never got my results even after pestering them every day for about 10 days. Eventually I just said fuck it because the quarantine period was over.

It'd probably be a good idea to contact your local public health authority/testing centre/whatever your local protocol is to see what they recommend doing now. They may suggest going for a test, or they may suggest continuing to isolate while you watch for symptoms, in the interest of not going out unnecessarily. Either way, you're already isolating as best as you can, which is the right thing to do, so carry on with that. Odds are, you'll be fine even if you are infected, so try not to worry too much and just keep watching for symptoms.

I'm definitely having mild symptoms but nothing horrible so hopefully it'll stay this way. I have to talk to my boss at work when I log in today and see if they'll give me the admin leave and stuff to get tested. Otherwise I'm just gonna keep studying home.

My uncle just tested positive! So much for visiting over the thanksgiving holiday. My great aunt in another state just got tested and doesn't have her results yet.

Meanwhile I don't know anyone in Florida around me that's tested positive, thank goodness. My wife tested negative a while back (standard work leave for symptoms until getting tested, etc etc)

Starting to feel worse as the day goes on so that's not good

My friend's father is in his mid 50's. Has 4 different lung diseases already. Got pneumonia...went to double pneumonia, so in both lungs. And got Covid at the same time. Now this should be 100% dead man walking right? Nope he was on a vent and had to get a tracheotomy done but he is up and doing well in the hospital yet.

So if someone that checked all the highest of high risk boxes got it and the Dr said it was "The worst case of covid and other things on top he's seen yet" and he is doing fine...well there we have it boys and girls. Over blown and now that the election is over it will go to the back burner and oh gee shocker less than a week after the election a 90% vaccine was announced. The left have been out partying in the streets...while claiming Trumps rallies were "super spreaders" and college kids are rushing football fields. Yeah it is 100% a joke and was used as a political weapon.

Your father was very lucky. A lot of the actions taken against Covid-19 were to slow the spread, so that hospitals would not be overwhelmed. Hence 'Flatten the curve'. If there were no bed available for him, or shortages of ventilators(like there were earlier this year), I can not say your father would have been as lucky. I am glad to hear of his recovery.
