Clearly there was voter fraud, the only question is how much. Like I said in the other topic, the day I went they were going to put me down as somebody else DESPITE the fact I handed them my license and the fact that the person was listed as having done an absentee ballot. And CT is supposed to be one of the secure states. Had I not pointed out the mistake, I could have voted twice and invalidated that absentee vote.

I have very little issue with Trump investigating into election integrity in itself. It should be investigated, and ballots should all be counted.

My issue is his rhetoric. Claims he already won, claims it was stolen without proof. It does nothing but anger his base, and that's dangerous. Someone will get hurt.

Some people cannot accept reality. The fact is ever since passage of the Voting Rights Act allowing Black people the right to vote, Whites especially Southern Whites began a backlash to that because for the first time that Jim Crow stranglehold that racist Southern Dems had held on the South since the end of the Civil War was now being threatened because those politicians knew Black people who were the victims of those Jim Crow laws would not vote for them so they knew things were about to change.

At the same time, Richard Nixon began recruiting disgruntled Southern Dems into the GOP in what is known as the "Southern Strategy" with the intent being from then on campaigns and elections would be run not on the issues but on race and that's what we are dealing with.

The Southern Strategy is an electoral strategy used to increase support of Southern White voters by appealing to racism against Black people. And it works brilliantly sadly.

absolutely agree here. he admits that Trumps rhetoric is toxic but I think most of his support for Trump stems from ignorance and his upbringing. His parents are pretty conservative.

No, I dont expect his views to radically change. His politics have shifted a little bit over the years. He was disillusioned by Obama after his first term and in 2016 he supported Bernie\Trump because they were as close to anti-establishment as possible. Now I think it boils down to wanted the least amount of taxes taken out. Its a theory.

and no, hes nowhere near milos level. Thats like an entire other tier of awful.

that's different from what you initially said, which made it look like trump wanted to ban adopting for gays in general, then you supplied nuance which showed it was only for christian organizations

a far right approach would ban gay adoptions ignoring anti discrimination laws, a far left approach would force christians to do what they want them to do and what goes against their religious belief, ignoring freedom of religion laws

trump took the centrist route which is the only route not forcing anyone to do anything, basically letting organizations do whatever they want, i don't see an issue with the only route not using force to abide one sides outlook

The issue is...kids need to be adopted and denying on sexual orientation makes it unnecessarily more difficult for kids to get a parent all based on nothing more than biggotry. I would hope the catholic organizations also don't deny people who aren't also catholic. Not mention the whole thing pretty much makes no sense at this point with the current pope.
