What's actually good for me to spend resin on at AR25, now that I've finished up the event?

I would be focused on planning out your ascension materials. If you're situated for your current level, start preparing your team for 30 by killing the elemental bosses (cubes, etc) and running weapon domains. If you have all those covered, you can look into talent materials, too. Don't forget talents exist!

But don't blow resources on things you don't need. It's easy to fill like "it'd be nice" to start improving a bunch of other characters, and that's a Bad Idea (tm). You will need those resources. When in doubt, you can go always go back to leylines, though I wouldn't do the blue ones until they start giving you Hero's Wit.

I messed up and used both prototypes I've gotten to make Whiteblind's for Noelle early on in the game.

it's not ideal but diluc with whiteblind is easily better than trying to main dps jean. although actually, debate club is actually weirdly good on him. it's the one single 3* weapon i ever actually hear being talked about. wouldn't use it over animus but probably over whiteblind?

diluc is meta-defining good and jean is arguably the weakest 5*, mostly saved by her capability as a jack of all trades healer+res debuffer+burst dps

if you need ice, even a low level kaeya usually works fine. chongyun's main drawback is that he wants to be support for a main dps ice unit that just doesn't exist. his E usually lowers your damage if you just slap it into a team willy nilly because you aren't going to be scaling ice elemental damage on anyone other than him

Eh, I like her alot actually. It might not be the "meta" but I built her cause I rolled the Aquila Favonia. I like yeeting enemies all over the field.

So I wonder if there's any math out there for using condensed resin on artifact domains. Because if I can get the same amount of loot with less runs/time spent, that sounds appealing. But I don't know if the odds would be worse (like, would it guarantee 2 5* per run? Or if it would still be 1 per run which makes it awful.).

It's exactly the same as the rewards from two runs combined. You are paying 1 crystal core and 100 mora to save time, which is a great deal.

Now I get to play the "do I want to save my gems for that banner or quick spend them now?" game. Consdering I'm nowhere near pity, I guess that's a matter of how much do I like the 4-stars. I'm still missing one on the current (Ning) and two on the upcoming (have Razor).

Also, I'm finally home if anyone wanted to run domains.

I don't have any resin right now, but I do need to take you up on it at some point. I tried running the domain with the electro sets, and it's an enormous pain, fire DPS or not.

venti has relatively high modifiers so no reason not to devote a lot of effort to him

for me, one imbued q will kill nearly everything out in exploration and mine's still wearing 4* artifacts

I mean, he already makes things easy for us at Lv 50. That means I can put my resources toward my main (anemo) squeeze Jean. ;)

Hes definitely soft and can get OHKO if I slip up and get surrounded by enemies. But Im ok with that since it kinda fits his character. His elemental recharge is super high so his Q is always up. When Im done getting the resources to level Jean to 90 Ill work on him next (atleast until Xiao comes out).

you should really at least get him up to get his ascension passive because it makes every Q help your friends a ton

if you're running two of one element, then an infused Q costing 60 energy will restore 45 energy across the party

not to mention the raw levels scale the swirls a lot because all reactions scale off of is Elemental Master + base level

if its substat is atk or crit it's automatically value, and elemental mastery is good on characters that use reactions

if it's anything else you have to actually pay attention to the effect because some of them are very specific uses (whiteblind on noelle, favonius if you need energy, prototype malice for literally only barbara)

I disagree with a lot of the choices on this list.

• Anemo MC is recommended to use Favonius Sword rather than Prototype Rancour or Black Sword.
• Xiangling is recommended to use Dragon's Bane (which is what I use) over Crescent Pike.
• Fischl is recommended to use Favonius Warbow rather than basically anything else

And this is just from the characters I've used at length. Even divorced of the context in which you'd use those characters, support vs DPS, these are, at best, sub-optimal choices.

I just googled something really quick but yeah some of this is subjective.

I like the Crescent Pike better on XL than Dragon's Bane, but I will be giving Crescent to Zhongli when I get him.

I know I should be using Favonius Warbow on Fischl, but I got tired of switching it back and forth from Venti so I just left Rust on her, which is aesthetically pleasing. I like to shoot off some arrows after popping Oz and switching so it works fine.

the two lists themselves disagree with themselves

they list dragon's bane as the #2 choice for xiangling, but don't mention it in the top 5 for spears (and xiangling is the only spear). but they do have crescent spear on the list for spears, but not xiangling herself

stuff like whether you use favonius or not is completely dependent on whether you actually need the energy recharge, and fischl has such high energy generation rates that you definitely don't need more energy recharge if you're running two lightning, and probably not on other setups unless you don't press buttons at all

they don't also recommend weapons based on role they're being used for, which changes your gearing massively

Right. That's what I was getting at, without making a deep dive.

That said, I need to find a good weapon for Fischl. It seems like all the "good" choices for support Fischl are things I don't have. (I haz Stringless now? Pretty please?) I've been using Sharpshooter's Oath since a very early level, and haven't replaced it since I haven't had a good alternative. But I'm done upgrading a 3-star, so Fischl's ATK is taking a hit at this point. I do have Sacrifical Bow, but I don't really need energy recharge or Q reset that badly, imo. Only other 4* is Favonius, which I am not interested in at all.

in a stalemate like that, all you can really do is prioritize whichever has the highest base attack, probably

sacrificial bow has the highest possible base attack out of the 4* bows (44) so that kind of makes up for the lack of substat

(favonius, meanwhile, has the minimum of 41 but greater energy recharge)

With as many people who tout Bennett, I'm wondering if this is a direction I should consider going. I already have Barbara + Diona, and Diluc + Xiangling, though.

bennett just needs extremely little to be extremely good, and everyone except my main dps right now pretty much has extremely little

he also scales really well with controlling 1 character in coop

Can we go back to this and explain how exactly? Because I'm losing my mind. The mages have huge amounts of health, I can't combo them with Diluc for long because one of them will hit me or the arena will start nuking my health, and they like to do their super move a lot too, which is just annoying and makes me run around a bunch wasting time.

probably venti, venti absolutely trivializes electric mages. time an E to hit them as they're about to get up from a Q and you can have extra disable time

otherwise very aggressive use of overloads to stunlock them but that's really messy and also requires you to bring your own electro unit

I am very well-practiced at fighting Cicin Mages. Even before I opened Diluc, I was killing them with my team that couldn't air juggle her in order to farm for mats. Having two on the field is obnoxious and forces you to not just Q-hit-hit-hit-Q-hit-hit-hit-Q-hit-hit-hit-hit, and repeat, but when you fight like a hundred of them just using MC, Fischl, and Xiangling, killing one while being harried isn't nearly as scary.

What's the rules for destroying the prisms that spawn when you've nearly killed the Hypostatis people? It seems elemental damage is needed, but Ning's normal attack isn't always damaging them for me.

Hit it with elemental reactions. Ideal is Cryo. Swirl and Overloaded are decent. Hydro is useless. Geo no idea

If you have Xiangling build up her Ult, drop Guoba near one prism, Ult and take out the other two.
