That ending cutscene was unironically like an hour long >_> Jesus.

But yeah, amazing game. Highly recommend it, even if you're a newcomer to the series. Unironically one of the better RPGs I played too: It kinda plays like an adult version of Earthbound (and a parallel to South Park: Stick of Truth I guess) with all the wacky shit enemies do to attack you. Like you got perverts that flash you to silence you, you have otakus that will smack you with glowsticks, "mimics" that are bums just hiding inside trash bags that attack you, and paparazzi that take unflattering pics of you and post them online which causes your defense to go down, among many others. And then you have "elemental" magic where they use a stun gun as a lightning spell or throw a bucket of ice at you as an ice spell lol

The game has an awesome story, great music and atmosphere, and the substories, humor, and Yakuza overworld are still top-notch. Ichiban is a great protag and I hope he gets more games. My only complaints is that the game is kinda easy until the last 25%, and then it fucking SPIKES and gets balls hard where you have to grind a bit, but nothing too unmanageable. Also you unlock Sotenbori and Kamurocho towards the end as extra overworlds, but there really isn't much to do in them besides a battle arena and an optional dungeon.

Go play it! It kinda just snuck up on me but this is without a doubt my game of the year. Saeko is best girl.

feel like every Yakuza game does this. more than once i've been kept up like an hour past my bedtime because i was so close to the end and didn't wanna put it down.

I've been wanting to play Yakuza 7 since the original announcement but want to finish the rest of the series first. Good to know that it's liked regardless of the genre change.

Yakuza is a series where Id be disappointed if the last cutscenes were under half an hour-45 minutes. At this point, why are you there if not for the cutscenes? One the only game series that can get me emotionally invested.

Kinda? Saeko has a move where she "accidentally falls" on the ground and exposes her panties to an enemy, causing their attack to lower. But down there is just a black void so you don't see anything >_>

But if you have her in the dominatrix class, then you see her in some skimpy leather bottom, so idk <_<

I was partway through 5 but said fuck it and popped in 7 yesterday. I wanted to beat 5 then head into 6 and finally to 7 but the allure of a whole new everything got the better of me. So far I'm about an hour and a half in and yep, this is Yakuza. So many cutscenes and characters! But the animations seem severely worse than some of the others I've played. Some of it is real bad.

Otherwise, I was trying to rush through 5 because I LOVE the new Dragon Engine and yep, walking through Kamurocho with the new engine reminded me of how damn good it is. Kiwami 2 and I assume 6 are so great because of it.

Beat the Final Millennium Tower. Then immediately tried the True Final Millennium Tower and got blown the fuck out in the first hit >_> The game recommendd lvl 99 with a lvl 90 job lol
