I'll go with a more unique option and say Resident Evil. Some of the most unhinged, hateful, and toxic arguments and behavior I've seen over anything from the huge "which game ruined the franchise" wars to heated spats over which are the better and true protaganists/villains.
I also saw a surprisingly large amount of overt horny posting on which girls feet would smell the best, which ass is the best, etc, even more than stuff like Fire Emblem or any JRPG board. There's also a unique kind of fetish I learned from there called Ryona which is all about putting the characters into death scenes.

Oh yeah, in other media, it's just general abuse. As you can probably guess, in Resident Evil it's usually death animations.
Although when you think of how stuff like choking and BDSM are also surprisingly popular I can kind of see how a more extreme extension of those that's doable in fiction would also gather a fanbase.

It's really hard to explain but Sonic has a really werid attraction toward a certain kind of people, mainly those who are on the autism spectrum.

Sonic has some HEAVY Poe's Law going on. There are numerous weird behaviors from its fanbase, and I don't know how much of it is legit.

Allegations of sexual misconduct in the competitive Smash community came out in July of this year. Started with a adult female announcer having a relationship with an underaged competitor, and it snowballed from there.

Notably was ZeRo who has had tons of dirty laundry revealed; and Nairo, who had relations with Captain Zack while the latter was underaged, but it turns out that Zack planned the whole thing and used it to blackmail him (he basically raped Nairo and used his age as a shield, knowing that the public would automatically side with him since he's a minor), and Zack is a sociopath who has done similar stuff in the past.

the game has very largely diverging paths of play and one is more popular than the others because it gives you a lot more content. This lead to influencers streaming it and getting mad because people dogpile them trying to get them to play it on that path en masse and yell at them if they dont

its admittedly pretty annoying but at the same time outside of lets plays and streams the undertale fandom isnt much different than any other popular game

to answer your question though op probably smash. Unusually high degree of truly awful people but also everyone seems perpetually mad about something to boot
