The gap between PC and last gen consoles is quite possibly the biggest chasm I can think of for any game. At least PS5 and Series seem to be holding up reasonably well... but yeah, last gen seems to be unacceptably bad.

I also found this pretty neat! Consistent with numbers we've seen from other publishers but it's super cool to see PC have such a legit market share these days.

it depends on the last gen.
if it's PS4 Pro or Series X it's not unacceptably bad, it's very similar to GTA5 on PS3/360.
but if it's base PS4, Series S, or any derivative of them, yeaaah no.

that 1.5 generation leap for last gen shows in this game. a tale of two hardware revisions.

I play the Genesis Shadowrun every year. I still own the cartridge but I've moved onto rom hacks to be able to change my name and character sprite lol, but yeah, it's good as hell.

Though if the entry point to this gen is already pushing the PS5/XSX hard, then surely they'll have to make a console revision when AAA games in 3-4 years come out and push everything even harder.

So when walking around normally the camera has a kinda jittery/shakiness/bobbing to it (not 100% sure how to describe it) that's pretty distracting and not so great. However, it totally goes away when you have a weapon/fists out. Is there a setting where you can get rid of the jitteryness at all times?

Usually it's...the opposite. That option is usually called weapon sway in most games that have the option.

It's a bit different from regular bobbing I've seen in other games, but yeah, that's why I had bob in there.

I got help with it though. There's a setting called Additive Camera Motion in gameplay settings where you can turn it off. Bobbing would've been okay, but this was just bad. Glad you can kill it.

Yeah, as far as I can tell majority of bugs and glitches/crashes are coming from consoles.

I'm 8 hours in and haven't anything major, and after updating my drivers it's also running a ton smoother.

This is also one of the best game I've played in years.

I had to refund my Steam version because my computer can't handle it but I've been reading some articles. Apparently you never get the option to change your appearance at all after the initial character creator. You can't even get a haircut!

In a game like this I'm baffled at a decision like that

Character creator definitely could have used more customization options. However, it allowed me choose a big dick option, so I'm ok.

The characters the creator gives you generally look pretty good, so I'm happy with it.

And it's the only character creator that lets me be a girl with a dick, so that's enough to make it the greatest of all time already.

But yeah, it's first-person, so you don't see your character much anyway.

I didnt realize you cant ever get a haircut, thats hilarious. You can swap out your arms for different arms, but your hair is forever. (this seems like the kind of thing that gets added in a relatively early content pack, but still)

I actually think the character creator is pretty solid. There were a lot of hair options and the faces look pretty much like faces should look. It doesnt give you super detailed control of facial features, but I think its still good.

I think thats more an endorsement of our robust public options than an indictment of the creator... at least relative to other character creators which tend to be just as limited in the black hair department

although I guess this game could be worse about it than usual, I wasnt really looking for it specifically.

It did have a particularly cool beard customization thing where you could select a beard type and then individually toggle the beard part and mustache part of the beard type.

And I think this is it, it feels like they removed total customization to fine-tune how each option looks. So you end up with good-looking characters but it flattens the variety. I'm not big into character creators but I think this is not a great choice considering how much they were hyping it up.

What is hard to understand about this complaint?

In the months of prerelease buildup people hyped the shit out of the character builder and talked about how they wanted to get a cyberdick. Not only can you not get a cyberdick, but you can't get a cybervagina either. And the dick straight up has more customization options anyways. It's weird to you people would be disappointed by that?

"Full genital customization" was promised, and what was delivered was 2 dicks and 1 vagina.

Is it a weird thing to complain about? Sure! But it's also a thing CDProjekt specifically talked about pre-release, so there you go.
