Okay he did order the illegal magazine but the ruling still established that you have to prove an independent disposition to commit the crime so asking someone to buy baking soda from you is still entrapment as there's nothing to suggest criminal activity.

You still cannot ask someone to do something legal and then arrest them because it's secretly not.

This particular case was just weird because it was apparently legal to buy child pornography in 1980.

Again, i was 18 and still in HS...and i had very little in common with the younger grades. They all seemed like Jr High Students to me by then. If they had met in school and knew each other, maybe I would feel differently.
They didn't.
He met her online, engaged her in sexual discussion, and met with her for the sole purpose of sex.

No, I would not, but Canada's romeo and juliet law is 5 years - 1 day. Also I dated someone 2 years and 2 months older than me in high school. Which means for two months he was 18 and I was 15. There's romeo and Juliet laws for a reasons.

In their state (Michigan, my home state) she is under the age of consent. In this case all the R&J laws will do is reduce his charge from statutory rape to sequel misconduct with a minor, and prevent him from going on the registry.
Dude still committed a crime. Period.

Also, they did NOT meet through school and did not have a relationship.
