Tower Of God and similar "originals" were just CR being on the production committee and helping fund the anime. Ex-Arm was CR's first time actually picking the people to make the show, having direct control over the production itself, and having the final decision on whether to say "this is fine" or not. Music anime like BanG Dream and D4DJ that motion-capture for the performances are a great use of CG in anime, and those two series make the CG look good outside of the performances too.
