I think Axe Backwards functioned way better in this configuration than whatever it was before. The wedge has the potential to get under bots and then they just ride right up into the drum. They should stick with this one and refine it for next time. The exposed wheels are still a bad design flaw though.

The main event was a lot of fun, but aside from that, the second half of the episode was uneventful. Kinda meh this week.

I think other than the main event, and the possibility beforehand of Shredderator simply not working, this week's episode was really predictable. I mean, I guess the Mammoth and Hypershock match could have gone differently.

At this point it would be more interesting to guess which big name bots will fail to make it to the round of 32. E.g. Witch Doctor, despite placing well last season and being something of a fan favorite, hasn't done anything of note this season because they're using a weapon composition that might as well be styrofoam when it comes to robot fighting. If any 0-2 bot makes the cut it should be Rotator. Two judge's decisions against him in fights that proved his bot is capable.

Idk, I disagree about Witch Doctor. Sure, she's 0-2, but those both went the distance, and both showed great moments from Witch Doctor. I mean, sure, 1-2 probably should be a necessity, but I think it is a tournament bot if it can get that last win.
