Amazon links are appreciated, along with any personal experience.

I'm currently using a Logitech G602 that's slowly becoming less and less responsive, and I've always loved Logitech wireless mice for their ease of use and incredible battery life, but I wonder what the current gold standard is.

had this one for about six months and am happy so far

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PQK6R4C/

not a gamer's mouse, but works very nicely with a laptop in a home office setting. having both usbc and usb is nice.

I've got a Logitech G700s, but I don't think they're still in production.

I like it because it works as a wired mouse while the charge cable is plugged in, and has a cool wheel that you can 'unlock' with a button beneath it so that it spins freely.

That was my old mouse before my current one, and I loved it.

I have no idea why they stopped making it.

Well speak of the devil! I just bought a new mouse this past Saturday after my last mouse clicked its last. RIP 12 years of service, eight dollar mouse. You've been replaced.... by a FOURTEEN dollar mouse. And that's Canadian dollars so you know I'm serious about mouse quality. Old mouse was a logitech M100, current mouse is a coolerplus FC112. You have a big diode to fill, little buddy.

I've been using a Logitech M720 for the past few months:
https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Triathlon-Bluetooth-Hyper-Fast-Scrolling/dp/B087Z6LSHW/

Not sure if it's good for gaming as I haven't played any keyboard+mouse games with it but for everyday use it's been good. It's got enough buttons and you can even change the type of scroll. Plus, you can pair it with multiple devices and switch on the fly.

I'm still using a Logitech M510 that I got well over a decade ago.

Though the middle/wheel click has become a little unreliable. I've probably needed to replace it for about a year now.

"Gold standard" for gaming mouse is going to be something newer by Logitech or Razer. I tend to buy Razer mice that use optical switches (as opposed to mechanical) because there's anecdotal evidence that they are less prone to failure and/or accidental double-clicks.

I personally use a Razer Basilisk Ultimate. Very comfortable, decent battery life, but pricey.

That's exactly what I use now, and it's been a fine mouse for a few years, but the sensor is starting to go.

Even with fresh batteries and cleaning the lens, it's just not very responsive anymore :(

i used a razer naga for a long time. i eventually replaced it with a razer trinity, which had a few problems. recently i've picked up a logitech g600 which has been serving me well

My mouse 3 button died (just the button, not the actual wheel) for a bit, but it's working again lol.

I have noticed it's starting to have issues every now and then, but I think it's ok for now. I never have really used the 6 buttons on the side, but it's nice to have them! I could probably use them in league...

I actually can't stand Logitech mice. I went through like three in two months.

This is the one I'm using now. I'm not saying it's one of the best mice ever or anything, I'm not that experience with all the different types out there, but it's reasonably priced, it's held up for years now (even after I started playing mouse heavy PC games more), it has all the buttons I need, and you can modify the DPI and switch between different DPI settings with a click of a button. I'm not a particularly picky mouse person, so this worked out excellent for me:

I use a G600 cuz I looove having alot of button options when a game calls for it. I couldn't imagine going back to a 3 button mouse or the ones with a couple extra forward /back buttons now. Well I can imagine it because that's what I use for work but it's awful. Particularly, it's annoying not having a dedicated push to talk button on my mouse that doesn't interfere with other functions

Which reminds me that the G600 has a an even righter click button for some weird "gshift" function that I just bind to push to talk. I press it with my ring finger and it doesn't ever interrupt anything else I might be doing which has always been an issue with push to talk. Either it's a button that might already have a function or I actually have to move my hand/finger away from something else I'm doing, or both.. both of those suck.

It took a while to get the hang of since the ring finger typically does nothing with the mouse, but now it's so natural

I used to have razer nagas/hexes but the quality is honestly just way worse. I had problems with most and they wouldn't last long. I'm not sure why I kept buying them when they even have a reputation for that but they just looked too cool I guess.

Razer Naga Trinity and I love it but if you don't play any games that need those side buttons it might not be worth it.
