Its a fundamentally bad game. Don't let people make you think it was only bad because of glitches and whatnot. It failed as a video game, and it was a slap in the face as a mass effect game.

Just like Cyberpunk 2077 they can't fundamentally fix the core of the game. They just focused on specific things like some wonky face animations and hoped for the best.

Most of the funny weird meme animations were fixed but you can't patch out mediocre story and the boring characters. A shame because the exploration and combat was the best in the series.

There were a few patches to make it slightly less buggy, but the crappy animations, ugly character models, and whatnot are still really bad.

Not to mention-- fighting a Destroyer enemy (specifically when it opens its chest for a special attack) crashes my game about 90% of the time it's on screen in MP. (X1 version)

Its playable and fun enough, gameplay wise

but you can really tell that a lot of stuff got shoved in or existing concepts got nerfed or redone late in the development process.

Just another victim of corporate EA ruining a game by involving themselves too goddamned much

As someone who effectively 100%d the game,

This is mostly right. There's some optional stuff thats fun enough (like the giant Remnant bosses you can fight on each planet) but a lot of it is... transient quest type stuff. If you played DA:I, you'll know exactly the kinds of quests I'm talking about.

If you're mostly playing the main story, you'll get a solid 20-25 hours out of the game. If you go for completion, you can easily get like 70-90 out of it.

My biggest complaint would probably be the same main complaint I had with DA:I, nothing you do sidequest wise really matters or has any impact on the story so if all you care about is the story, then don't even bother playing side stuff
