I don't see how they can relate with or enjoy the journey of Luke Skywalker and the plight of the rebels Do they root for Scar in The Lion King? Make the pridelands great again? (Well, males in general, but I don't think it's an accident that a lot of action films feature ambiguously queer antagonists.) My conservative coworkers are the type to say that Thanos was right though, so perhaps there is some rooting for the villains. --- Others don't get to dictate what's normal and what isn't.
