Hindsight is 20/20 On the surface, it looked like he wasn't taking it seriously, based on the events surrounding his wellness check. But when he put out that apology video that's when you knew he realized what had happened. And he felt he couldn't come back from it because of how much infamy he had gotten. I truly wish he could've. And yeah, a lot of people overdid it. Made dumb assumptions, harassed the guy endlessly... Even after that video of him being taken away while screaming put a damper in his videos, I couldn't watch them. He absolutely should have been banned from websites like youtube and twitch when it became obvious how unstable he was. In college my best friend had bipolar disorder and one night wandered a highway naked during an episode. She also ran a popular website where people wanted to hear her opinions a lot and viewed her as a kind of public figure. I could tell how much that messed up her mental state. When Etika was still streaming publicly during his mental downslide I could see the same thing happening and I was downright angry that he was granted access to these venues, and so many people didn't see what was happening and where it would go. --- Talking about video games? it's ok to just disagree with each other on the internet. He needed to be completely removed from social media but he still had access. If I had been one of his close friends or family I would have tried to appeal to all his social media sites (twitter, instagram, facebook, youtube, twitch, whatever else) to ban him at least for now. I doubt they would oblige.......but they should. When there are thousands of people watching you and interacting with you through the internet it changes the way you think and act.
